I frowned. "I mean I've never done much personal stuff or taken a day off. Much less a week," I said. "They might start a war or something."

"If I'm not there," I said, "they can. If they think that I was kidnapped or something they have the authority to put in a claim with the other country's government. If they deny it then they can't. But we have resources here that no one else has and they might take this as an opportunity to ask for cheeper or free oil, wheat, and wind energies." I smiled proud of my kingdom. Or rather queendom.

I shrugged. "It would take an hour to pack and another hour to smuggle you in unnoticed." Unless maybe he worked there. Huh. That is actually a good idea. We offer housing and meals for our employes so that might work. But I was already asking so much of him.

I kissed him back for a second and pulled away. "You are not a burden," I said.

"Yes I am. I've put you in a completely different environment wher we had to walk everywhere because I'm too poor to buy a car. To add salt to the wound, you've had to worry about your court declaring war on another country because you were missing." I sighed. "I am a burden."

"No," I said stubbornly. "You're not. I like to walk. And I was planning on taking a day off anyways." Only the last part was a lie. I loved being queen.
