Subject: Thread for the Forgotten -- Poetry Contest Sun Oct 10, 2010 11:31 am

Okay, decided to start a poetry contest (: Post any number of poems up
Requirements for poetry:
1. Very important!!! >> You must think it is really good.
2. No vulgarities should appear in your poetry (not even if they're censored)
3. Finally, please state a reason for choosing each of your poem (when it's good, there must be a reason why you feel it's that good that it, above all other poems you've got, should be posted for the contest)

Closing date: 27th November 2010 (Moved forward by 3 days, it's ending tomorrow)

--Top 3 positions: All members who have participated in the contest are encouraged to review at least one poem of this poet (unless you've already reviewed).

Extra notes: I believe some poets also write stories, and if you're interested, do visit and create an account at National Novel Writing Month's website. This website requires members to write a 50k word novel in the month of November (every year, you can opt to do it next year or the year after, just when you think you're read to wipe out something cool and new.

I chose this poem because it was written in a tiime when my heart was broken and my full spirit could be poured into my writing

Heartbreak

They don’t understand

Just what it’s like

To see their faces every day

I fake a smile

And die a little

A charade I’m forced to play

If they could hear my thoughts

They would feel such shame

To describe is impossible

But to say utter heartbreak

I Picked this poem Well Manly it riminds me of Soccer.

Calling Forth

I call to you.
I feel the pain of deat all around.
You call to me.
Finding your way.
All I want is freedom.
From my darkness cell.
Free from my death.
Free from the evil encounters.
My soul will be traped.
My body will be freed.
Myself will be forever traped.
I will die if my soul is gone to long.
My Warrior I call forth to you.
Live to free us all.
Live to help others when they need it.
My warrior dont fail me.
Nor others.
Free my soul or I will die.
Do what it takes to get me home.
As I live forever in a new world

Heres one of my favorite poems. I think its one of my best because it flows better than some and has tons of meaning.

Don't even try to say
You Loved me at all
Don't even try
To Lie
I'm walking off the edge
Tonight
Just so you can see me Die

The Light will never shine on me
Again
The Dark covers my soul
Tonight
I dont want to hear your Lies

Stop lying

It's one of my favorites, and I love it for two reasons. One might deduct this poem because it 1/2 rhymes and then stops, but I like it. Another is this poem is from me to a friend and has some of the most meaning and heart I have ever put into a poem. I might add one or two more. Hope you lke~

Why
Left behind in the dust.
Not a soul around.
It’s a must,
Up the mound.
All the lust,
In us all, around a pound.

Where did you go?
Why was I left?
Used like a yo-yo.
I thought we were friends, well that’s it I thought.

Used for your game,
No more shall I see of that.
The knife feels wedged in deep,
I felt lame.
Maybe we misunderstood,
Don’t be an old bat.

But whatever I feel behind,
It may be you, it may be them.
But I want no more binding.
I’ll sew my own hem,
Just let me see into your mind.

This game is over,
Where’s the point?
Why talk at all?
There’s no point,
They hate me, all the same.

We were separated,
I miss you.
Do you miss me?
Meet me at the half point,
Under the willow tree.

Tell me,
What do you think?
I have become what you never wanted.
But I’m still here, healthy as a horse.
Will you say hello?
Hello to the new me?

Everyone. . .
All but you have accepted.
Even enjoy the new I.
My changes are great,
Much like the you I knew.

I am brighter.
Slightly optimistic,
lovable.
(Or so I’m told.)
But here I am,
Once and for all.

The greater me,
Do you like?
Or do you hate?
Tell me now,
Or leave me in the dust like before.

Your new friends,
I know they hate me.
So I shall never speak,
How sad you have driven me to my previous state.
This is the last straw,
I am done,
No more mind games.
I am who I am,
I’ll never change.
Like or Hate,
I do not care.
Just let me be,
Or you’ll never see.

This one is one of my favorites. I like the rhyming rhythm in it and the whole dramatic affect.

ShowTime Death

Shoot the pain
Through my vein
Let me strain
Let my blood stain

Try to kill me
Let me be
Set me free
let me have a final plead

Now lets finish the show
Give me the final blow
Let the audiance grow and grow
When only you will really know

Burn my body in a single flame
No one but you is to blame
For you were the only one that came
And your the one you made me feel shame

Now im gone
And you still live on
I'll be foregone
Till the Break of Dawn

Death is a show
So let me take my final bow...

This next one is my all-time favorite. It Flows insanely well and i have one a contest with it before. My Word choice is great in it and it is yet another dramatic poem.

Scar of Death

I deserve this scar
All I deserve is Death
All I deserve
Is a final breath

A Scar of Shame
A scar of Hatred
The Bloody Scar
a scar so sacred

I got from pain
I got it from hate
All wound up in side of me
It was to much to take!

I need death
I need this for me
Just shoot the gun
And let me be

Kill Me Now Just Kill Me Now
Kill The Anger
Kill the Pain
Shoot my Heart
Block My Veins
Let it go black
Let me circle the Drain
Let Me jump
On the Black Train
Let Your floor
Be covered in my blood stain
One Step Left

How many times can you except my heart to break
how many lies are you going to say to me
