At age 14 he was attacked by gang members in his neighborhood. He used a pipe and beat them away, but during the attack, one of them pulled out a knife and slashed him across the right eye. They said it wouldn't heal and requested to cut it out, but he refused. Three months later he took an eye exam and was marked with perfect 20/20 vision. From then on everyone knew he was different. Even before he was marked he could do things no one else could. He could move things without touching them. He could make things appear out of thin air. When he was marked he became even stonger with those affinities and more. He could control the amount of light and darkness around him. He could make himself practically invisible without cloaking, and when he put them together not one person could see him.
