I smiled, "I'm only 17" I told him

'that's not bad,' i said with a dry laugh. 'though i bet your parents arent three centuries older than you.'

i rummaged through the fridge looking for something to fill me up.

"My parents are dead" I told him

'oh sorry,' i frowned and looked away.

i settled down at the breakfast counter with a ready meal and tucked in.

"Don't worry" I said, "You didn't know"

"I'm sorry" I said, "I really am" I added, "so what brings you to the lake?"

"Oh" I said, "I've pretty much ran away from the pack" I looked at the water

I shook my head, "No ones knows" I said, "Except you" I added, "Do you think I should tell her? I mean she is my best friend..but then she's apartently with my stupid cousin"

'are you sure you want to leave the pack. i can tell it's a big part of who you are. your aura shows it you are central to its being.' i said smiling. 'leaving might cause bigger problems.'

i skulked around the house trying to avoid people, especially j, i hated him for what he did to phee and any cares i may have felt for him evaporated fast. well two could play at that game, he goes back on his word i go back on mine and not speak to him again.

I looked at him, "I'm meant to be Alpha" I said, "But when my father died the rest of the pack sisn't believe I could do the job so they kept Alphaness in the family and gave it to my cousin" I told Azure, "My cousin told me he would give me Alpha power" I paused, "But he went back on his word..if I stay I either have to stay listening to him or kill him to become Alpha like I'm meant to" I paused and sighed, "And if I leave..I leave everything my family has built for werewolf kind" I leant my head in my hands

I sighed and wandered around the house after telling the assortment of pack members it was a flase alarm

i gave her a kind smile.
'sometimes it's better to follow your heart, you seem smart there is always a way around these things. but dont take the word of a halfbreed.'

i heard j up ahead and abruptly turned around and made my way in the opposite direction hoping he hadnt smelt me.

"Don't call yourself a half breed" I said, "It's offensive to other half breeds" I looked at the ground, "My mother was human too"

I sniffed catching El's scent, "El!" I called

i smiled.
'so we have something in common then.' i said. 'i'm a dhampir, half blood but i like to think of myself as special despite what my father thinks.'

i stiffened as he called my name. damn. i tried to carry on walking away.

I smiled, "You are special" I told him

"El stop" I commanded, she'd hate that but I needed totalk to her

'thanks,' i said. 'and you must be special too, i can tell ... it's my thing.'

i gritted my teeth and stopped following the alpha's order but i didnt turn around.

"Special or a trusting weirdo" I sighed

I caught up to her, "El" I said, "I'm sorry"

i laughed.
'well your aura is greeny blue with a tinge of red. the green is your friends and capability to love whilst the blue is your birthright and capability of leadership. the red is suppressed rage which i guess is against your cousin.' i shrugged. 'that's just a brief reading.' i said.

i said nothing just looked at him with a raised eyebrow letting my feelings clear that i was not happy with him at all.

I looekd at him, "Help me please" I said, "I really don't know what to do..I think people forget I'm only a 17 year old girl..I have enougth problems already"

I sighed, "I really am sorry" I said, "I just couldn't do it"

'i am only 19, we all have problems.' i said. 'but i'll help you as much as i can. it will annoy my father more.'

i sighed shaking my head and gave a shrug, i still refused to say a word.

I smiled, "Thank you" I said, "I like you" I blushed...great, I was doing the blushing thing again

I looked at her, she wasn't responding, "Fine" I said, I turned and walked off

'your welcome,' i said. 'and thanks for liking me, i think you're pretty cool as well,' i said with a genuine smile.

i resisted the urge to jump up and down screaming. so i turned and yelled at him.
'i'm leaving, leaving the pack!' i knew phee would be p*ssed but i was to annoyed to care.

I shrugged
