I think it's pretty funny too. I think they just paid no mind to her message and they just went on during what they always do. Maybe the ran into the basement? Who knows. I don't think it matters, at least not to me. They both annoyed me. Her step-loser because he's just a complete jerk and her mom because she's just as bad for going a long with it all.

I think that's the most likely thing that happened. That is, if John wasn't a complete idiot (which he actually is).

From what Heath described, it sounded like an isolated incident that clueless and possibly manipulated police and media officials blamed gangs for. Then the storm would have kept people in for the most part and no one could question the "official" story. I mean Heath didn't seem to have the slightest clue but then again we are talking about the guy that walks blindly into danger doing the tough guy act, he's not the sharpest. Therefore, I would assume that the clueless Heffer family just stayed at home, watched the news, the zealous steploser deleting all messages from from one Zoey Redbird because she is the devil.
