Evan struggled to keep from gagging. The scent of blood was too strong, filling him, and he could even taste the iron. He could hear the sound of slurping, and of Vitani talking about people... Dead humans.

They killed the humans.

The thought hit Evan like a ton of bricks, making him so sick that he fell to his knees then and there without feeling for his surroundings first. He'd never been a killer, unlike the vampires and other shapeshifters; in his "other life", he'd simply attended school, trying to fit in, and only shifting when it was absolutely necessary. He'd been attacked by humans and seen his own blood, but there'd never been a death. There'd never been so much blood. And now this...

He drew his knees to his chest and rested his forehead atop them, shaking uncontrollably.

Oh, god... What did I get myself into?

Evan raised his head, hoping that there weren't tears in his eyes. They always tended to water whenever he got scared or nervous.

"I'm fi--" He paused, chewing his lip, and then said, "Actually, no. I'm not fine. I'm terrible. Ping, are they... I mean, the humans... They're really dead, aren't they?"

((Alright, gotta go now! I have a Acapella chorus trip to get ready for and I might not be back on tonight... Depends on how late we get home.))
