Well, I just read it and it was definately the Tracker that marked her but he couldn't have been as good looking as most of the vamps are due to no one paid any attention to him enough to notice he was there. It did say the when he pointed at her and told her she had been chosen for the House of Night that her forehead exploded with pain which is when she was marked

No, he was a vampyre, only fleglings cover their marks. The thing that I want to know, me, is how do they know who will be mark? Probably a gift or something, but you know, they knew that Zoey was coming a couples of day BEFORE she'd been marked, and what, they're going in a school and they see, don't know, light (or darkness) around the future-fleglings?

see my thought with the whole marking thing was that if they knew who was going to become a vampire why would they marked people who didn't complete the change
