Clash Of The Elves (X)

I saw the clearing and burst through the trees.

I followed her jumping on to Zen's back and leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Fly like the wind, run faster then you ever have before, for time is of the essence." At that she shot forward to my village. I hated telling this to Melda this way but she had to know about the rest of the vision and of my worries.

"Melda I'm sorry to tell you this when we are in a state of panic but I have no other choice now. I did not tell you the whole vision for I was still contemplating it's meaning. What I didn't tell you was that yours and your Dark Elf friends presence calmed the war, completely stopping it. It frightened and amazed me at the same time. Yet that is not what worries me, when I became enlightened I found out the full truth about my ancestry, and that I am a long descendant of the Light Elf who Fought with his brother that started this war. I also learned that their is a Dark elf that is alive who was born on the very exact day I was, who is just as or ever more powerful then I am. I fear that he will decide the future of our race. That it will come down to a battle between him and I." I stopped letting her take it in.

"YOU'RE TELLING ME THIS NOW?!" i yelled as we rode. "Great... " I said sarcastically. When we finally got to the village I jumped off zen to look for Midnight. She wasn't there. I had to run to the forest. "Don't follow me!" i told Elron. I ran to the forest. I needed to know she was okay.

I loosened my grip and walked over to her mother. She had some bruises and cuts, but no serious damage. It also looked like she had been raped.

I was getting close, i could feel it. I tripped on the way. i saw midnight and ran faster. I got there and saw Her on the ground and Dea was crying.

I burried my head into his neck and kept crying. Mama looked dead...She wasn't moving..."Mama..." I mumbled.

I wasn't sure how long I had been knocked out or where I was exactly. I started to move a little and realized my head hurt badly. I winced and didn't touch it.

I ran to Ara and tripped over Elron weapon. He couldn't have.. i looked at her and then up at him. I glared.

I knew sitting up was out of the question. I heard someone trip and I looked "Mel..." I said sort of quietly. Andea heard me and struggle more in his arms. I was shocked she even went to him. "Mama...." Is all she could say.

There was nothing I could do now so I just rode Zen back to the hut and meditated.

"Who's blade is this?" I asked Mel.

Andea struggled more and more to get near me. My pants and everything were up. I wasn't sure how they got that way but they were. My shirt was ripped. I tryed to sit up but ended up falling back down. Since Drizz't wouldn't let her down she was starting to become agravated and almost cry.

I pulled up my katana. "Its Elron's. But he didn't do this... he couldn't have..." I needed to protect him.

I put the girl down. "The evidence says differently. I lifted Aranel. "Take the girl back to you're place. I'll send Aranel back after her wounds have been treated." I walked into the forest.

I stopped him. "You aren't going to hurt him." I said. I was ricking my life now. "He didn't do it."

I heard what they said atleast until Andea plowed me over and started to kiss my cheek. She was so little. She didn't understand anything. She just kept saying "Mama...mama...are you ok mama?" I smiled and hugged her close.

"Tell Elron I won't go to him, but if he ever steps foot on my land again, I'll kill him. Now take the little one." I picked up Aranel and looked at the little girl. "I'll bring her to you after her cuts have been tended to ok?" I walked towards my home.

Andea didn't understand. She pulled on his pants leg and kept saying "mama" I smiled at her and stroked her head "Go with Auntie alright? I'll come find you in a little." Andea looked like she was about to cry again but went to Melda anyway and hugged her leg.

I took her to where I lived and layed her down on a bed of moss. I cleaned and bandaged her cuts and put healing medicine on her bruises. "You may go now. Make sure Elron knows to never come here again."

I sat up not sure if I could walk "Thank you Drizz't. I really owe you one."

I was furious that he threatened Elron, but i didn't know who else could've done it. I thought and thought about it. nothing came up.

Andea pulled on Melda's leg pants. She wanted up.

I looked down and picked her up, putting her on Midnight as i carried Elron's weapon and walked us back to the village. "you did a very brave thing baby" i told Dea
