Switched

The feeling of youth over-whelmed her. She danced in around in joy and smiled like a fool. It had completely slipped her mind. What had slipped her mind, exactly? Her son, laying hopelessly on the ground, now at age 40 and barely breathing. He was forgotten, and, on top of it all, he had cancer. You could see the pain in his face, but the joy in his mother's. She pranced around the room, and when her eyes finally fell on her son, she tilted her head in question.

"Who are you?" She asked, in a typical teenage tone, "Are you... like special or something? God, man, stop staring at me like that. What are you doing here anyways? Ugh, they really need to lock this place up. Bums are always finding their way into this place." She rolled her eyes as a young girl would do and strutted away, leaving her son behind.

His head made a Thump sound as it hit the floor and he closed his eyes. When he had found out that his mother had cancer, she was already much too close to death. But when that blasted lamp had rolled on the floor, his mother was urged to rub it. But those fairy tales and stories of Alladin are fraud. One wish. That's all you get. And what did his mother wish for? For her cancer to go away.

But with every wish is a consequence. And this one effected much more than her. Her age and her son's were switched, but not only that, but she had also given her cancer to him. Her memory of her life was fading, and fast. But what was he to do about it? Find his mother? Tell her the truth? No, he couldn't. He was too sick, and he could see her riding his motorcycle down the street. And as he was about to fall into the small abis, the one that leads to death, he saw a portal. And right before he could even fully grasp what was happening, it swallowed reality, and then, and only then, was he sent back. God didn't want him. So he was forced to relive the painful experience. And much like what had happened with his mother, when he was sent back...

His memory faded away as well.
