It wasn't long before I gave up and went back to Hayden's House. I waited at the door steps for him to return.

i walked up the steps of my house "hey whats going on with the backpack and stuff"

I grinned at him. "I stole them." I said as i stood up. "Then i came back. I am keeping the jersey though." I giggled.

I let him take her, she wasn't my responsibility. I wanted to kick myself, I had healed a vampire....what was I thinking? I shook my head and phased. Running through the woods with no direction, just running.

I couldn't stop thinking about the wolf. Did he have a human form? would i know that it was him?

I was hungry, either I scavange through a house for food, I dig in a trash can, or I just follow my animal instinct and prey on a small animal. I sat at the edge of the woods thinking how I was going to choose to hunt and what I was going to hunt.

I could smell him. I ran outside and looked for him. I needed to find him. "where are you?" i asked as i looked around for him.

I smelled a vampire then I heard a voice I recognized as the vamp I had let go, I steppped out of the woods; I was looking straight at her. I phased. "Are you looking for me, young vampire?"

I looked at him. "You're the wolf that attacked me?" He was gorgeous! I looked away. Hayden and him both were attrative to me...

i stepped out side onto the porch and saw the wolf and jess "hey jess get away from him" i yelled and ran down by her side

I frowned. "Attack is an ugly word. I was protecting my humans. I've lived here since I was ten years old. I am this towns protector and you wont be eating anybody in my territory unless you settle with the wild life or steal from the blood bank." I looked at the guy who had come up then back to her. "I will kill anything that threatens their lives."

I looked at him. "why do you like them so much? why are their lives anything to you?" i asked him as i got closer to him to get a better look.

I glared at her, was she serious? "Because these are the people I see everyday and murder isn't something they are use to so when people start to disappear its going to cause chaos. I want things to stay atleast a little normal in my neighborhood." I sighed. "That hobo you tried to eat today was Charles Wilson he may be homeless but he is the nicest guy you will ever meet and he talks to everybody who walks by and he shares some amazing stories. He may not be much now but he is a historical man."

I raised a brow. "How about i just eat you then?"

I grinned. "You could try." I gave her a daring look

I smiled. "Naw..." I took a deep breath... "nevermind." i said. I launched at him.

I caught her, threw her down with alot of difficulty in my human form but I was still strong but she definately had the upper hand on strength and speed. I needed a chance to phase. After she was on the ground I took a step back. "You won't like my taste, little vampire. I may look like a human but I don't taste like it."

i smiled. "This will be fun.." i said. I jumped on him and wrapped myself around him so he couldn't throw me off again. I was having fun with this.

I gasped when I hit the ground, that was going to hurt in the morning. My eyes changed to the eyes of a wolf, silver and slitted, and my canines started to grow. "So you kill for fun, huh? You've gained alot of confidence since our last meeting."

I smiled at him. "Maybe i am just not as hungry." i giggled as i played more.

I managed to roll over where I was on her, my nails were starting to extend. "Careful, little vampire, the ears are next and they might poke you in the eye." I grinned down ar her, my voice had a bit of a growl to it. Truth was, I was stuck in this in-between form, I couldnt fully phase like this or she would break my back with her grip. MY bones didnt have enough room to phase.
