Author's Note: This short fanfic is based off of the anime Ouran High School Host Club, my favorite anime, actually. It is dedicated to the dear twins, especially Hikaru, my favorite Host.
This is based off of the fact that Hikaru likes Haruhi.
Be warned, in this, Haruhi doesn't end up with Tamaki Wink

All you TamakixHaruhi (Haruki fans is what I say) fans will have to deal.

Hikaru sighed, glancing over at Kaoru, looking at him for a moment, only to see the same expression on Kaoru's face that must've been on his own. It was like looking into a mirror. This simple fact didn't depress him much, like it sometimes did. He was grateful, at least there was someone that there that could understand him, he figured that that was far better than having no one, and most of the time he felt that Kaoru was all he needed. But he had to wonder... would it be so bad to have more than just one person you could depend on?

Hikaru's thoughts soon started to irritate him. He didn't particularly like thinking about growing apart from Kaoru, even if it was just a tiny bit, it rather upset him, and made him feel guilty knowing these thoughts would hurt Kaoru's feelings. He most certainly didn't want that.

To clear his mind, Hikaru's gaze soon fell to Haruhi and the others, who were gathered closely together, on the infamous yellow couch. The Club wasn't open for business quite yet, so everyone took this opportunity to talk. Normally Hikaru and Kaoru would be up there also, most likely teasing Haruhi, but today, Hikaru wasn't feeling up to it, he had a weird feeling, but wasn't sure what the feeling was. Kaoru, not wanting to leave Hikaru by himself, decided to stay with him, not quite understanding what was the matter.

Kyoya stood near the couch, intent on his clipboard. Mori and Honey were standing behind the couch. Honey was on Mori's shoulders, clutching his pink bunny, Usa-chan, he was takking to Mori animatedly. Mori listened, nodding every now and then, smiling a little at some of the things that Honey said.
Haruhi was sitting on the leg of the couch, half-listening to Honey, and looking over at Tamaki every once in a while.

Tamaki was talking also, Hikaru didn't know what about, because he was out of earshot. Everyone seemed to be paying no mind to Tamaki, but Hikaru knew, they were all listening, every one of them, Tamaki knew this also.

Hikaru himself liked Tamaki, though he was rather foolish and childish at times, Hikaru could kind of relate to a little of that, though he would never admit it. When he watched Haruhi and Tamaki together, he got jealous, and envied Tamaki, though, he would never admit that fact either.

Every now and then, you could see Haruhi smile, and you could tell it was from something that Tamaki said, because momenta later, she would tossed him a glance. Every time she smiled, Hikaru's stomach did a flip.

He wanted that.

He wanted to bring a smile to her face, if even for just a moment.
