Whay can't love be simple

A noise broke through my sleepy haze. What was it? Tyler's ring tone! I rolled over and looked at my phone, and a smile crossed my sleepy face.
"Yeah, I'm here."

'Cool I'm bored...' I texted.

'Im, sorry' was all i could reply trying to think through my sleepy haze

'huh for what?' I texted.

'For you being bored' I replied.

'Oh it's my fault Natilie takes for ever to get dress,' I yawned as I sent it.

'Oh ummm, I see' I sent with a littlee tug at my heart.

'Yeah...now I'm stuck cooking us mac and cheese,' I sent

'Oh yumm' I replied

'Yeah,'I sent waiting for Natilie.

I came down stairs and Tyler was on his phone, "Sorry i took so long, My hair started to frizz." I said

"It's okay," I said to her. I texted back gotta go,' send. "Super is ready "I said as I turned off the stove.

"Yum, mac and cheese." I said smiling.

I smiled at I put the plate in front of her and mine in my spot,"so what's happing at home that makes you want to stay here,"

My smile faded, remembering what was still home, waiting. I took a deep breath, "Dad lost his job, and he has been really mad. Last night when he came hime he was angry and i asked what was wrong and he shoved me. So i went to my room and waited until i knew he was asleep."

My smile faded,"oh sorry,"I said then took another bit."Well you know your welcomed here , we got the pool and tv, and a party is going on but I was think that we should go to a club."

I was happy i didn't have to go home tonight, "Sure. I am ready to dance." then i laughed.

I smiled,"anyways finish up then you can get ready,"

"What time are we leaving?" I asked so I knew when to be ready by.

"Eight and it's six thirthirty now ,"I anserwd I was already done so I put my plate in the sink.

"Good!" I had more than enough time to put back on my clothes and cover the bruise up on my arm.

"Yeah so...tonights gonna be a blast I promise you that,"I said as I leaned my head down amd kissed her shoulder, that's when I saw the bruises,"who did that?"

I tried to cover it with my other hand trying to will it to go away. "It's nothing."

I took her hand away and touched it,"did your dad do anything else other than push you,"I asked a little angry.

I tried to come up with a lie to get out of it, but i couldn' t think of one. "After he shoved me I fell and he said I was always in his way and he threw me around. I tried to get away i really did." I felt the tears forming in my eyes.
