Summary of the first novel, Dead Until Dark;

Sookie Stackhouse is a small-time cocktail waitress in a small-time town Louisiana. She's quiet, keeps to herself, and doesn't get out much. Not because she's not pretty. She is. Its just that, well, Sookie has this sort of "disability." She can read minds. And that doesn't make her too dateable. And then along comes Bill. He's tall, dark, handsome---and Sookie can't hear a word he's thinking. He's exactly the type of guy she's been waiting for all her life....

But Bill has a disability of his own: He's a vampire with a bad reputation. He hangs with a seriously creepy crowd, all suspected of---big surprise---murder. And when one of Sookie's coworkers is killed, she fears she's next....

REad the whole series and loved them

I'm half way through the first one. School is keeping me busy...

I love the books and the show, they dont go together very well, but they are still amazing

Yes and the newest one Dead In the Family has a nice cover. I like the covers of the hard covers

I haven't read these yet i dunno if i will i have quite a lot of books last time i counted i had 565 books all togther are there all really big!

i have the last book (death in the family) on hold at the library. im picking it up tomorrow! yay.
but yeah, its become one of my favorite series. so different from the show but i love it.
love the characters and the story line.
and because of the books i love eric so much more!
i do wish they kept to the story line inthe books more for the show. its so much more interesting and sophia ann isnt such a...ya know in the books. ha.

As much as i enjoyed the last book, Nonny is right, it was to calm...i mean come on, the rest of the series was action packed, and this one was like suburb life compared to them...

I need to read the latest one but I didnt bother to finish reading the last one because I got bored with it...I just skipped right to the end and it was a boring ending. I missed the action like in the other books

I am starting to like the HBO series better than the books.
