The limo pulled out front "Good evening Mr. Battalnia where can I take you today?" the driver said getting out and formaly bowing.

I sighed "How many times do I have to tell you theres no need to be formal Felecia. Call me Jason." I said smiling.

She blushed "Yes Mr.... I mean Jason."

I had to stifle the laugh that was rising within me. I didn't want to embarrass the driver anymore than she already was, but I couldn't help the eye roll that escaped.
"Thanks, Jason!" I smiled.
I hopped excitedly into the limo. I couldn't wait for the night to start.
"Hey, Felecia!" I called out to the front of the limo. "Can you turn on some music, please?"

I got in

"Yeah pump up thwe tunes"

"Woohoo! Mini dance party in the limo!!" I squealed with delight.
I started to sway and swirl to the music. I could feel the bass beating in sync with my pulse. I swung my hair side to side, really getting into the song.

"This is cool."

"It totally is!" I agreed.
"Mia, you should dance!" I suggested.
I kept dancing. I was having so much fun.
"Owen, come on." I held out my hand for him to join me.

"I'm good thanks." I said. I wasnt in the mood for dancing.

"I luaghed and started to boiunce up in down with the beat

I laughed and did a small backflip

I was super impressed. I was frozen in shocked for a second, but I snapped out of it and returned to dancing.

"I cant really" I pulled up m shirt and showed her the 2 little wings

I stopped mid dance, almost falling over myself. I gasped. This was something else I didn't know about Owen.
"Is this why the Sons of Erebus are so interested in you?"
I couldn't help but stare at his wings. I really wanted to touch them; they looked so soft.

"Kind of" I shifted completely and flew over and landed on her shoulder

"Oh, I guess that's true." I couldn't help but feel sad. Even though it had been five months since I had transferred to the Toronto House of Night, I still felt like the new girl sometimes, especially right now. I had transferred because I couldn't deal with the death of my best friend, Daniel, when his body rejected the change. I thought starting a new life here would make it easier and sometimes it was. I tired not to let my sadness and loneliness show on my face. I sat down and hid my face behind my hair.

I sat down beisde her

"Whats wrong?"

"Dont worry" I patted her back

"Thanks." I said. I managed a weak smile.
I wiped my tears away. "Sorry, I didn't mean to ruin everything." I apologized.
I felt really embarrassed I had let myself get upset like this.
