"you have a stalker?" I asked before I could stop myself, then cursed under my breath.

I couldn't help but laugh. "No. I was joking. I say stupid sh!t when something scares me."

"oh" I said washing my hands and face in the water.

I smiled and stepped into the river, holding up my skirt so it wouldn't get wet.

I looked away swallowing at the sight of her bared flesh, now was not the time to be fantasising about humans.

I sighed and stared at my reflection. A single tear slid down my cheek and plopped into the water. I smiled at the ripples. "I'm Mercedes, like the car."

"john, nice to meet you." I said looking down.

I stared at him. "Where's your shirt?"

"what shirt" I said simply shrugging.

I laughed. "Exactly my point." I saw the other girl staring at us and I quickly looked at the water.

"that's Amillia by the way." I said smiling.

"She your... Girlfriend?" I asked nodding to acknowledge her.

"yes." I answered simply.

I nodded. Something about them both scared me. "Figures." I whispered softly.

"why do you say that?" I asked with out thinking.

My eyes widened. I'd barely said that out loud. I didn't know what to say. "Wh... I... never had a... boyfriend." I swallowed.

I cursed as I realised she must have said that softly, "I'm sorry to hear that." I said washing my arms in the water now.

I swam over to them"well anyways"

I smiled. I was trying to hide the fact that I was really freaked out. I bent over and picked up a rock that was in the river.

I smiled at her"something wrong"

I shook my head no. "No, nothing is wrong... I'm just curious and... Never mind."

"Curious about what"

"Leave the girl alone Amillia." I said grinning "let her sort out her thoughts."

I smiled at Josh. "Thanks."

I giggled and wrapped my arms around him"ok"
