My phone buzzed and I fished it out of my bag, reading Johhny's text. Where are you?! I texted back.

But...you don't even know them! I texted and bumped into a guy.

I looked over at johnny and noticed him texting. i wondered who it was. Jackie looked like she was in good hands i didn't want to interrupt whatever was going on with her and Troy. So I walked back over to Johnny and asked if he wanted to sit in the truck while troy and jackie finished.

I looked up and saw Emily. I nodded and took her hand and led her back to the truck. "Whats going on with them?" I asked after the doors closed.

That is just crazy I texted back and sneered at the guy I had walked into.

"I don't know. I didn't want to interrupt. Johnny..." I said with a sigh "I'm really sorry about freaking out like that"

"It's fine." I said. "Everyone has there little issues." I told her. "No one is perfecty."

"Yea but we just now met... And if i told you the truth... You'd never want to talk to me again... Not ever."

"Why? did you kill someone?" I asked

I didn't answer, i just looked away and stayed silent

I froze "Emily did you kill someone?" I asked her.

"It's why I'm so unconfotable talking about cars... Idk why I even brought it up. My dad... He asked me to fix his car. Him and my mom were going on a trip to colorado... I didn't tighten a bolt enough... the engine exploded while they were in the car. It's my fault I'm an orphan!" I cried into my hands not wanting to face him in shame

I moved over and gathered her in my arms. "It's not your fault." I said rubbing her back. "You can't blame yourself,"

"It is! It is my fault." I leaned into his arms and let myself cry in his arms.

"Listen to me." I said. "It is not your fault. How do you even know it was a bolt that you tightened when the car exploded?"

"What other explenation is there?"

"Well when a spark could have happened in the engine There could have been a leak in the gas line." I said " There are many explainations, you cant blame yourself."

"I'm so sorry...I didn't want to do this. Not with you..."

"It's fine. Again I don't mind." I said pulling back to look her in the eyes.

He looked into my eyes and i felt weird, different. I wanted to lean in and kiss him...
