Your views on the Fledgling Handbook

What did you think to the Fledgling handbook?

Would you recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it?

Do you think anything should change in the book?

I actually read it not too long ago!! Horrifyingly, I've created a habit of making notes all over it. Gotta give the author credit for making a lot of accurate historical and mythological facts through the stories for an alternate universe. Different versions were even put in, such as saying the Moirea (the three fates as they're called in the book) were the children of Nyx, this is only one version of a story contrary to Moirea being the daughters of Zeus and Ananke, Goddess of Destiny. It's made for the vampyre mythos, I know, but still accurate so-to-say because the connection to Nyx was made before. It's nice that Cast has also made a few things up herself such as the story of Boudicca's daughters. I think their names are somewhat lost to history or hardly known (Whenever I look up the names, they're drastically different in different places so I don't think anyone really knows) and they are assumed to have committed suicide as well, Cast did wonderfully to work with all that. However, the book was nothing but folklore and fables meant for a good read, so I stand by what I said in This thread that if anything was "missing" it was because there wasn't enough to make a good story about it to appeal to readers or was too advanced to get into. Don't get me wrong, the book is awesome still and I jokingly point out that for a full color and thick paged book, $10 was a cheap price. The reason I didn't read it before was because I thought these Handbooks would be released after the main books were finished.

Has Cast announced that there would be more fledging books? I know the books state there are more but, you know, have to be sure. Nonetheless, it captivated my tastes and I'm sure anyone who just wants to get more insight of what the characters in the House of Night have to deal with, I'm sure they'd like it too.

As for anything changed, if there will be more books, there's room for adding a ton of things. It's unfair to state if anything should be so I won't put anything down for now. (GIVE ME SOME RELIGIOUS HISTORY)

Iv started to read it now and i think its cool but some of the stuff is a little odd but thts okay i think?

I like it. The stories in it were pretty cool. I loved the sonnet in the back, I would recommend it.

what about does it seem odd to you?

i really enjoyed it. i love the "history" it makes it seem almost more real... you know? anyway. i've already recomended it to almost all of my friends.

I love this book, it would be good if there was some more info, as said in the HoN stories, some things aren't inclided which is a bit annoying. I still like the book and hope that they will write more like for the rest of the Formers.

I agree with you, i didn't know some stuff before i read the book. Its all so fascinating and very interesting, i'm glad they finally brought out the book, and i hope there will be more, i love it

The handbook made me love the series even more. After reading the dark daughters story, it inspired me to get the tattoo of the dark daughters and son's symbol. The handbook is a book that I would recommend to my nerd heard, and half of them half read my copy of it.

I like it, the way it is organized makes it easier for me to understand, i really do like it, though it is awsome.

They sell the books in the biggest bookshop of Helsinki, which is where I got the books. I don't know about the Fledling Handbook, but all the others (Marked, Betrayed etc) are sold there. I guess I should go shopping sometime soon.

Just started to reading it but I don't get the Schedule Mon, tue, wed, thu, fri all I find on the sites is like what classes not for every day help!
