The taxi slowed. I looked out the window and sighed. I hadnt been here in quite a while. And now that im back my parents are dead.

I looked around in the rubble. They couldn't be gone. I sniffled and looked around. Tears streaming down my face, they were the only ones that protected me.

My aunt had called me with the news. She said that nothing was left of the house but i still wanted to see for myself.

I dropped to my knees wanting to find just a shread of something to remind me of them. I found a burnt picture of them and a litle boy. I knew they had a son but they said that he wasn't around anymore so I just assumed they were dead.

The taxi turned to my street and I could see from a distance that someone was there, where my house used to be

I wipped the ashes off the picture and I a couple of tears fell onto it. "Why did you leave me?" I whipsered to the picture.

It was a girl. I got out of the car, telling the cab to hold on and approach her.

I heard someone approach. I wipped the tears from my face. "I know... Its dangerous to be here...but I don't want to leave yet."

"Who are you?" I asked. "Why are you here?" It wasnt anyone I recognized

"um... I'm Tally." I said "These people were like family to me." I told him "Who are you?"

"Oh Im Nik... they were my .. parents..." I looked around, forcing some tears to not come out

I looked down at the picture. He was alive. I didn't want to hand him the picture it was the only thing I found. But it wasn't mine to keep. I stood up and held it out to him. "I guess this belongs to you then." I said

I looked at what she was handing me. It was a picture of my parents and me. I took it and looked at it with blurry eyes. I wiped my eyes "Thanks"

I tried to blink away my tears. "I-I'm sorry for y-your lose." I said starting to step bye him

"Wait.. dont go" I got her arm "I know this hurts you as much as it hurts me" I let go when i knew she wouldnt leave. "You seem to have known my parents a lot"

I shrugged and looked around. "They saved my life. I would have done anything for them." I said and sniffled. But apparently I didn't do enough. I thought and started to cry again

"Dont cry" I hugged her and felt tears in my eyes too. "See your making me cry too" And I promised myself I was going to be strong

I sniffled "I don't know what else to do. Where am I going to go when I'm scared? I've lost everything." I cried into his chest.
