I texted Lance, Lance why did your brother join the army? I asked him still sobbing.

I read the text,Same reason why I'm a cop.. he lives for it(and you )and he has been dreaming about keeping peace to his country since he was little..like our father..why?What's wrong is he going back?!

I cried a bit harder, He said he was going to check in with his base later... Idk if that means going back or what, but he said he's checking in.

I excused myself from the table and walked into the bathroom to hear her crying"Sis are you ok"I asked

I walked out with my coffee and met up with my partner,we drove back to the station where well of course i got yelled at.

I sat at the table on my own, i told the waitress just a few more minutes as there was a slight problem

I started to cry as she held me tight. "I don't want him to go!" I sobbed. "I can't lose him!"

I sighed as I filed report then went home,I turned on the news and saw that my case had already reached the 12 o'clock news.
Homicide detective Lance Shillingberg was half way in the building when young five year old Rylie Donald was stabbed mutiply times by her father...name is not released,but we do understand that Lance's case was taken over by Detective Morris.. more on this story later.

I flipped the tv off and just stared at the blank screen.

I sighed"it's ok sis but we really should rejoin Shane"I gave her a tissue"Shane will be worried about us"

I kept looking at the menu, i already knew what i wanted, i was just waiting for the girls

I remebered every part of the scene I saw when I busted down the door,I glumped as I stood up. This kind of stuff destroyed me on the inside then only people that knew what it did when I could save a victim was the people closest to me.

I dabbed at my eyes and walked out with her. Itd been obvious I'd been crying, but I didn't care
