Ironic (1x1)

"Erh," i ran my fingers through my hair. "they ended up giving me a whole other stack of papers to go through." i said.

I looked at him. "That is why I am glad I am almost working for myself."

I sighed and shrugged. "Someday i will." i said, taking another drink.

I smiled "I hope you do." I said. He was better than having to work under someone.

I smiled at her. "Dance with me?" i asked setting my drink down.

I smiled at him. "Of course." I smiled

I smiled extending my hand out to her when i got off my seat.

I smiled "I didnt know that you liked to dance so much."

I smiled at her. "Either did i."

I laughed and followed him back onto the dancefloor.

The music slowed down as we got onto the dance floor, and i pulled her close to me, gently wrapping my arms around her.

I smiled and layed my head on his chest

I rocked us back and forth to the beat of the music, buring my face into her hair.

I looked up at him. "I love you." I said "you don't have to say anything, but I had to tell you before you end up not being mine anymore. I wanted you to kno."

I kept holding her to me. I didn't know what to say. I didn't know if i could tell her my wife was back. But i certainly had feelings for her. That was all i know. The only response i could think of was to kiss her.

I reached up and touched his face. Kissing him back.

I held her close to me not wanting to let her go. Why did my wife have to come back so early?

"So after this? How about you come back to my house and we spend some more time together?"

"I'd love nothing more than that." i said not wanting to add the but... on the end of it.

I looked at him. "Where is the but? I know it is there."

I clenched my jaw slightly as i looked at her. "Nothing, don't worry about it."

I reached up. "What is it?" I asked putting my hand on his chin.

I stared into her eyes for a few moments trying to decide what to say. She deserved to know. "My wife came back early." i said not hiding the disappointment in my voice.

I stepped out of his arms. "Oh... Um... Will you excuse me for a second?" I asked, and ran to the bathroom.

I cursed under my breath and sat at a table and began rubbing my head with my hand. I didn't want to hurt her.
