| I could feel my flesh burning, the screams of others engulfed my ears as I screamed along with them until I couldn't scream anymore, it felt as if the fire had etched its way through to my very soul. I shed one last tear to the love I had lost and how it resulted to this, my thoughts drifted back like a book turning pages, these pages were turning back to a few years prior to this..
Bulgaria, 1820.
It’s been 343 years I’ve spent with Nick. I love him with all my heart, he is my love, my dearest, my husband, my mate and my world. Nothing can take me away from him. I’m beautiful, locked in an everlasting age of 19; My blonde curls are still golden and shine like an angel in the light like they did all my life, my eyes are no longer blue, but a very pale green, almost like they have no color. My face is perfectly symmetrical, my lips small yet plump and delicious, like Nick always tells me. I don’t deal with the stress of growing old, or getting wrinkles and being struck by disease. Nick often tells me I’m the most beautiful princess he’s ever seen, he’s so gentle but yet so rough and perplexing. We live in an castle just east from where I grew up in Bulgaria. We lived near the water, our castle was magnificent, Nick bought me the castle after we spent 100 years together. He is all I need, we use each other to live and survive, he feeds off me and I feed off him, but really what I crave more than blood, is his love. Everyday he greets me as I wake up, kissing my hand and telling me how he marvels off my beauty, he does court me, very often. It brings us closer together, I know that I’m the only one, and all I know is that the only one is him. I woke up this morning to his cool fingers playing with the strands of my hair.
"Good morning, my love" I muttered to him.
