"Brought you here? What are you talking about I didn't bring you here. I just wanted you here but I didn't bring you here. 'They' did. I don't have the power to bring you here. Besides." I crossed my hands. "WHY should I help you?"

"I heard that!" Flavius said. "And that only means you owe me! I don't owe you anything so I have no obligation to save you. Also, weren't you the one who attacked me? That wasn't very nice, you know."

"Self-defense? Horrible? Gee can't you get a joke!" Flavius said. "Besides, I don't want you two here. Also, you don't need to find a way. You'll both automatically be discharged from the abyss in a few seconds." Then he smiled and laughed. "You actually fell for that. 'They' have no interest in you two. I just wanted to make you both scared." He continued to laugh and laugh. "But yeah I didn't get you here. 'They' brought you here because I requested it, and now I sent a message to them asking them to discharge you. So don't worry, no one is out to get you. I was just acting."

alex looked at Flavius in horror.
"how could you!" she yelled and she ran a bit away to sit on the ground and hug her legs.
this is not like me. she thought. whats happening?
a tear rolled down her cheek.

"How could I? You two attack me and almost kill me and end up making me come here and you still can't get a joke? Damn, we are proud." Flavius said and crossed his arm. "And stop looking at me, Jake! You were the one who did the worst part of all this."

"You think I'm not feeling the same way? It feels like I've been here for months! I'm doing things I don't normally do. I'm only thinking of the people in the human world. Don't act like just 'cuz I made a joke I'm all of the sudden a senseless monster. I'm doing this all out of desperation!" Flavius was in hysterics. "....I can't go back! It's impossible! My soul cannot enter the human world because I departed it from it intentionally, wanting to escape death so I could find a way to communicate with those I care about...meaning Zeke, of course. So you see, I didn't want to die and lose him. But now.. I lost him anyway."

"Well...hopefully it will work." I said, but I was hopeless. "I guess you two will have to wait till your ride comes here."

"Who knows. Just make the best of it." Flavius laughed.

"Unlike you, I'm not stuck here. I just come here because it makes me think." Flavius said. "To answer your question, Alex. This is not Jake's first stay here. He's becoming an avid customer actually."

"well unless they both just decided to leave there bodys yea it would have to be flavius."i said.

i sigh.

"Here is your ride!" A carriage came by. "It's really weird to have something in the abyss. I guess 'they' really like me. Off you go you two!" Flavius said. "Just go inside the carriage and then you will wake up in the real world. Simple as that."

Flavius just sat there on the brick trying to adjust the fact that Alex got close. Yet this time, she hugged him. She didn't attack. He looked at her as she was about to enter. "Don't worry, because in the end, everything will be alright." She might have not felt it, but it was the most sincere thing he had ever said in his life.
