Probably the most well known game series in the world, Final Fantasy has 14 main games as well as about 23 games based in a specific Final Fantasy world or in a new one altogether.
The first game, Final Fantasy, was originally going to be the last game made by Square because they were going out of business. They put everything they had into it, hence it's name. They never expected it to be so popular. That game alone saved the company and has allowed so many amazing games to be produced since.
