"It's how we live in the modern world." I said.

"Yeah, if you have a kid, guarantee you're not going to be dating much."

I sighed, "oh well, I'm not going to worry about that."

"I'll always have you there, and I'm too pretty for men to just throw away," I said.

"That too," I smiled.

I smiled more. I loved to be in his arms, just being right here made me so happy. Of course that's when the vampires came. They all wanted me dead for the death of clan leader.

I tightened my hold on him and hoped maybe they hadn't spotted us. Of course they had and formed a circle around us.

They didn't waste anytime, they immediately grabbed my arm and began to pull.

They looked at him. "You know the law, anyone who kills a clan leader is immediately to be killed." Said one who had my arm.

"It's just the law to kill them, and we were ordered to kill the half breed for being uncontrollable," said another. Wow, they all hated me.........

They glared at him. "There was a request that another clan wanted her dead or alive. No exceptions, so we can't give her back." I wasn't getting this. Confusing.

I followed him quietly as that guy yelled in pain and the others were helping or chasing us.

"Can't argue with that," I said as I followed him.
