"I am. But not at the same time." I said.

"So you're restless," I replied.

"A little bit yea." I said.

"Yeah, I get that way," I replied.

I nodded. "But I should try to get some sleep. Theres school still tomorrow." I said.

"Well I can stay until you fall asleep," I said.

I nodded. "Okay." I said.

I smiled at her.

I went to get ready for bed than laid down holding my stuff wolf.

I sat there quietly.

I softly smiled. I was glad he was here. just watching over me.

I smiled softly as I watched her slowly fall asleep. When she was I left quietly shutting the door. I took off my shirt and found a pair of basketball shorts to sleep in before going to sleep myself.

After falling asleep all I could think of was him. And the days to come.

Few months it took time has pasted slowly but we got through the toughest times I could think of. Starting with the case took several times to win and got both Sylvia and Hayden free from their parents for good. But then of course I had to deal after that five long months without him while he went through rehab. Which wasn’t fun either. I watched over his sister for him which lead her most of the time asking about him. School wasn’t easy either seeing Tia and Ryan were alright but not the same without him. School just got little more stressful than I asked for people still had those little rumors about us going around nothing much. But nothing changed that much in school.

When I could I wrote to let him know how his sis is doing. One of the last letters still gets to me because the first few I would write had all about his sister but his returned ones would ask some times about me. I never answered those questions till the 2nd to last letter. I just told him like in the beginning about his sister how much she loves the little kitten especially when she was sad, and some other things to know for him, but in the last paragraph I wrote or at least the last sentence I wrote that I missed him and couldn’t wait for his return again to see his smiling face.

He didn’t respond to that letter which was alright but at least I told him. The last letter just said almost the same things to him as the last one but again he didn’t respond to them I never knew why. Then five months later the day came but I didn’t know when or what day he would return but father did and only father did.

I sat in my room with the kitten minding my own business. Papa peeked his head in the door way saying, “Hey I’ll be back in a little while keep an eye on Sylvia alright?” I nodded I didn’t really say anything back I just held the kitten. So off he went to get Hayden from the place, didn’t last long since the place wasn’t far so he wasn’t gone long.

I heard the car pulled in the drive way. I just held the kitten sitting quietly. Hearing two sets of feet walked in the house. Wait two how is there two? I got up setting the kitten down in her bed as she slept. I walked out of my room and down the stairs there he stood Hayden. I just ran up to him hugging him. He didn’t changed much but he was still him and I was happy to see him again. “Welcome home.” I said He may be a little scruffy looking but he was home and that all it mattered.

I smiled when her father showed up and felt so happy to go home. I couldn't respond to those last letters because I was still a little afraid of getting too serious about someone, but this was more for me now. My parents had nothing else to do with this. When I saw her my smiled just grew. Even though I almost fell over when she hugged me, and I hugged her back. "I missed you too," I said.

I smiled. Sylvia came down stairs and came in the hug as well. "Its good to have you back." I said.

"Im glad to be back from all that," I replied.

"I bet." I smiled. I was sure glad to see him again. Five months hasn't really been easy.

I sighed softly when they both pulled away. "So you never answered my question about those jerks at school," I said with a raised eyebrow. I hadn't a clue what to say.

"Oh them? I didnt answer them because they havent been around much." I said. "Hungry?" I asked going to the kitchen to make something because I hadn't eaten anything at all yet.

"I am please," I said as my sister held her kitten. "You got big little cat."

I made a few grilled cheese sandwhiches. Setting them on the table. I looked over at sylvia. "Remeber hold her bottom please." I said.

"OK," she said and let the cat go so she can play.

I smiled. Seeing Sylvia this happy is better than what it was. "Foods ready." I said.

"Alright," I said and we went to sit down and eat.

I was already half way threw one sandwich. Luckily I made like several.
