do you know what it's like
to be full of secrets?
all those days where everyone thinks im happy and perfect
when Im really not
I have secrets that no one knows.
You see a happy girl
when on the inside im dying
you see a girl that has no trouble
when in reality she cant get one thing to go right
you see a girl who looks perfect
when she really is barely hanging on
you see a girl who acts out adn stands up for what she belives in or people getting picked on
and do you know why?
you all just think she's nice
well its much more then that.

this girl you see isnt me
this girl you see is only who you think i am
what would happen if you really knew me?

a mask so familiar to me
a life as fake as can be
a girl with a story
no one knows
her real face is always hidden
for she always fears
of getting hurt and her tears
a girl who has seen things
that she shouldnt have
who have heard things that should not be heard
who has done things that she's not proud of
this girl lives her life
day by day
when she looks in the mirror
she doesnt recognize herself anymore
what happened to the happy care free child
did she leave when she was seven and no one noticed it
or when she was twelve and heard things she shouldnt have
how did no one notice that the girl grew slowly distanter
that didnt tell secrets
that had many secrets of her own
this girl had her childhood taken away when she was 7
but no one noticed and she wouldnt tell for she was afraid
this girl has never forgotten that
the girl looks away from the mirror ashamed of what she saw
she will never be that care free child again
so she puts on her mask and lives the life of lies.

Nice, and funny
I sit and I wonder how

At least for now

and i want to keep it
but it's times like these
when nothing goes right
i just want to break the promise.
my life just seems so pointless
like why am i here
drama from people that I thought were my friends
haunt me late into the night.
I cry when Im alone
because crying is a sign of weakness
but i cant take this anymore
between the name calling and the rumors
this isnt supposed to be what life's about
I want to keep my promise
but I just dont know if I can anymore.
