i'm re-reading hunted right now and heath is getting on my nerves so much! i can't wait until burned to see if he does or doesn't come back! hopefully doesnt.

I've never understood the reasoning behind all the Heath-hate around here.

Are ya'll just so ga-ga over the vamps that you can't see what Heath has done and been for Zoey, especially when her vamp-boys were just ditching her?

He's still the only one she can outright say "I love you" too, and the only one out of all her man-candies who says it to her.

He's her foundation.
He represents the deepest part of who she is, the part that didn't change when she was Marked, nor when she discovered her new powers.

Which is why I think he WILL be back, either as a vamp or a resurrected human, and play a crucial, irreplaceable role in Kalona's defeat.

Zoey has never succeeded at anything while standing alone in the series.
Defeating Kalona will be no different.

I agree with most of your statements Beastbearer. But I like most found him to be extremely annoying and he had managed to get Zoey hurt more than once with his untimely returns.
In the end he made the ultimate sacrafice for Zoey. He gave her the truth she needs to see that Kalona isn't good and the tools she will need to help her defeat him and Neferet.
I think that by turning him into a vamp it would be counterproductive to the books.

I don't think he really had zoey in mind when kalona killed him.

I'm sorry maybe i misunderstood that part. I will reread it.
I thought that he was trying to get Zoey to notice through the bond that he needed her. I thought he had tried to use spirt or something of that nature to get there in time to see what Kalona was saying. By staying there he risked being caught and whatever might come with that.
To me that would suggest that he atleast Zoey on his mind. His intentions could have been a different story.
But I will reread the section once i'm done rereading the second book and see what i might have missed the first few times i read it

oh god i know. i seriously hope he won't come back. i mean he was annoying in the books before he died, but if he came back he'd be even more annoying cause he'd be attached to zoey cause he realised he could have lost her.

Yeah and I think he would be like "Ha! I'm back! What ya feel 'bout that?!" to Kalona and Erik or maybe even Stark.
