But how am I supposed to get back when I can't even see where I'm going?

Even knew he had to shapeshift, even if it meant all the people around him would see. He took a deep breath and shifted into a Harpie. Yeah, he was now a bird with the head of a woman, but at least he could see.

He spread his wings and took off, hoping the people below thought he was simply a really big, really ugly bird.

I sighed. Well this was fantastic. Those humans chased me away and shot at me. Stupid humans. Gladly when I shifted back to human my clothes were still on. But they got one in me. Now I was wounded in the forest with damned bullet hole in me. At least I have clothes though.

Evan looked down as he flew, using the Harpie's advanced sight to scan the forest.

Trees, animals, leaves, dirt, more trees...

Suddenly, he noticed a larger shape trudging below, something that looked...wounded.

He swooped in for a closer look.

Evan landed and shifted back into human form, grinning.

"Good for me, bad for you?" he guessed, hoping he was looking directly at her so she could see him raise his eyebrow suggestively.

I was pissed at him now. "How about bad for me and bad for you? As in I wont be the only one injured." I said looking and the bullet hole in my right side.

Evan used his sensitive hearing to locate where Sasha was, and then he gently grabbed what he assumed was her arm, helping her stand.

"God, now I smell the blood," he gagged. "How bad it is?"

inside the shaft it was dark so i snaped my fingers and made a fire in my hand. it was still kinda dark but at least i could see what was in front of me

"Ow ow ow." I said as he helped me to stand up. "There is blood and I don't think I can shift that well. It didn't hit and organs. So it is just a flesh wound. Can you get me to somewhere safe from those humans. I don't want to run into them again."

"Sure thing," Evan said. He stepped back a few feet and shifted into Cerberus, the three-headed dog from Greek myth.

"It was either this or the Harpie," he said in guttural English. "And trust me, I don't think you'd be comfortable on the Harpie. Can you climb up on my back?"

I gripped my side. This was not going to be fun. It was going to be painful and not fun. At all. "Yeah, just give me a second." I said taking a quick deep breath. I quickly put my feet on his paws and moved as fast I could to sit on his back. That hurt. A lot. "Ready," I said in between gasps of pain.

Evan crouched, lowering two heads while keeping the center one focused ahead, and said, "Hand on!"

And then he bounded forward over the trees, hopping while barely touching the ground as he raced toward the mine.

Not that this totally noticeable by the humans chasing us or anything.

((@graciella: Here's meggie's summary before I came in.

we ran from the first cave we where at we whent to an abondoned mine shaft , after some scouting we found a cabin that had food and suplies int , Sasha went out back to eat a deer V and i where inside the cabin V smelt some humans attacked them i pulled v off of the human and we ran V actacked me in self definse I got a deep scratch that She dosent know about from her . and I asked v to go back to the mine shaft and wait for us ..and you and I are now looking for Sasha

And after that, Evan got lost in a nearby town. He shape-shifted and flew over the woods, finding Sasha there with a bullet wound. He picked her up and they're not heading back toward the mine shaft. Hope that helped! Smile

Evan finally came to a stop in front of the entrance to the mine shaft, breathing heavily.

"Made it," he gasped before immediately shifting back to human form and collapsing on the ground. He'd forgotten that Sasha was still on his back.

I fighting a scream as I was falling to the ground. When I hit that was it. I screamed at the top of my lungs, "EVAN YOU B@$T@RD!!!!!!!!!! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!"
