"Sorry dude. I didn't mean to." I put my hand down on my desk.

I got up and went over to mark to help him up. "Are you ok?"

blood was gushing from my nose. "i think you broke my nose... or rather the impact with nose to the hard tile floor.." i said in weird voice.

I helped him up "Come on i'll take you to the nurse." I hid how bad I wanted to laugh.

"I'm real sorry man! I didn't mean to!"

"uh huh. just do me a fave. wear the belt with pride." i let alice take me to the nurses.

I put my head down on my desk. I didn't know what to do.

I walked with Mark down to the nurses office "I'm really sorry Mark! He didn't mean to." I was holding back tears. A few escaped but I didn't think he noticed. Only Mark and Tyler ever saw me cry.

"i know. im just messin with his head. he knows it if not ill tell him i was messing with his head,"

I smiled a little. Mark was on my right and tears fell down on the left side of my face. I tryed not to let him see. I felt so bad he got hurt. "alright." We just got to the nurse and I took him inside and had him sit down. I ran into the bathroom and got some papertowls and had him hold his head down to let the blood drain out.

i did as alice told me to do while we waited for the nurse.

I got back with the nurse and sat down in a chair.

I walked over to the boy "Now sweety. What seems to be the matter?"

was this woman blind!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!! "my nose is broken."

I looked at it "Well yea it sure is! What did you do? Get hit in the face with a medicine ball?" I chuckled.

I glaired at the nurse. No one talked to my friends that way.

i stood up. "alice drive me to the er in my car." i tossed her my keys. i wasnt in the mood to deal with this crazy woman.

I smiled and caught his car keys. "You got it. I'll meet you outfront." I ran to where he always parked his car and got in and drove up to the front. I was a quick driver but I also was very gentle. I opened the door to let him in.

i got in and managed to buckle up. "wendy can suck it up and take the bus home."

I smiled and got the car going. I never jerked Mark once but I was going a lot over the speedlimit. I knew everycop around here so I knew they would understand. Although Mark never knew I personally knew the cops by first names.

when we got there she parked as close to the front as she could.

I walked in with Mark and went to the lady at the front. It was Gloria. "Thank god!" I wispered. My mother had been in the hospital a lot before she died and I knew everyone in there. even the night staff. "Hey Gloria my friend has a broken nose. Can we see Dr. Mason please?"

"Sorry sweety but we have other people.....Is he your boyfriend?"

I wrapped my arm around Marks "Yes he is and i'm very worried for him. May we please see the Dr.?"

I looked at the boy and then back to Alice. She could never lie. "Sweety I really can't...." I was cut off.

I cut her off. "Please?" I bat my eyes like when I was little

"Oh alright." I waved them through

I let go of his arm. "Sorry about that." I blushed.

"its fine....you know i like mandy..."

I smiled "I know a little to well." I giggled as we got up to the Dr.

i flet my face flush a little.

I thought about ryan. I didn't even get to say hi to him today. but Mark needed me. I looked at the Dr. and put my hand up "Broken nose please?"

I looked at Alice and smiled. "It's very nice to see you in here again. I miss our games" I looked at his nose. and touched it a little. I popped it back into place before he could tense up. "You will be ok. well have to bandage it up."

i was holding alices hand when the pain hit like a incoming train....i felt my hand clench alice's....

I felt Mark squeeze my hand. I squeezed back. I knew it hurt. I wispered to him "it's ok. We'll get you some ice on the way out."

I gave the young man some nasel medicine and wrapped up his nose. "You can take that off thisevening or tomorrow morning whenever the swelling goes down. Keep ice on it and don't move your head to much."

I looked at the Dr. and pulled out my wallet "How much do I owe you?"

"for you sweety it's on the house. No bills this time." I smiled I loved that little girl. "As payment you can come back and see me sometime. You know my schedual."

i grunted as in agreement.
