HAte the new Erik?

To reiterate, Erik is the same jerk he's always been, we've just been given a new perspective on his real character.

I generally can't tolerate possessive guys, so I couldn't tolerate Erik's behavior either. And calling girlfriends h**s is so wrong if it's not how it really is. Erik wouldn't even let Zoey explain herself! Talk about being selfish and stupid.

I think Erik is still Erik I mean It's a normal reaction if someones gf/bf cheats on her/him. He's hurt.

well what was he supposed to do? tell her she's still worth it? I mean, Zoey was heart broken when she caught Loren with Neferet, which was probably the same way Erik felt. lol, as much as I love the character Zoey Redbird; Erik had all rights to confront her like that, after all, she cheated on him with a professor..

Maybe, but does it mean he has to call Zoey a h** before even letting her explain herself? In an ideal world he would've waited for her explanation before blowing up like a blowfish.

No, he didn't. When we say "freedom of speech", contrary to popular belief it doesn't mean we can say what we want, where we want, when we want. I believe the ideal is about respect and resonsibility, especially given the power of words. Do you think I associate the words "respect" and "responsibility" with Erik's actions in Chosen through to Tempted? In an alternate reality where up is down, I might. And I will never accept the excuse of blaming one's actions on another person.

Shannedo, you have a point there, but I still don't think yelling is the best solution. The best solution in that kind of situation is to sit down and talk things through. No matter what people do, calling them sluts or man-h**s (if that were to happen) is something I don't personally accept, mostly because it sounds so, so rude and ugly. I don't do fine with things sounding rude. Not even if girls call each other sluts for fun, I can't tolerate it.
And as for Erik being a possessive jerk, he's always been that, Aphrodite told it to Zoey in Tempted. So it's definitely not a new trait on him.

I see that you people are pretty into the story. It's a good thing, but I think you all may be overreacting to it. I personally don't think it's wrong to call her that, it's just what he feels, if you put yourself in Erik's shoes, wouldn't you too? It may not be nice, yes, but still, when you got betrayed by the same person who tries to patch up again with you? It just doesn't seem right. It's like she's just playing with you.

Everyone is selfish one way or another, and I think that the Casts have done a good job show-casing each of their personalities.

Erinacchi, who yelled? I don't think she did. Yelling in forum is in blocked letters. Exclamation marks are just to show some emotions. No one human can live without emotions, even when we're watching tv dramas or reading short stories. It's the emotions that make us who we are.

Besides, I don't think you actually answered much to the topic, although we are all entitled to our own opinions, but much of your post isn't really covering any ground on the topic.

Not to get on anyone's nerves, I just don't want any wars to break out. Cause I believe amidst the two posts you made, there is some misunderstanding of the content from either party.

I agree with Erinacchi. I made most of these points before. Particularly the fact that there is no "new" Erik, it is the same guy that dated Aphrodite. There is your hint right there.

Second, what she did is pretty much irrelevant when it comes to Erik's attitude. Zoey was unfaithful, we all get it. Solution: talk with her OR dump her and let it be her problem. And speaking for myself, if my girlfriend cheated on me, I would most definitely be angry and upset. But if I had done something I would have regretted later, or allowed that to change me then I would feel bad about myself for all the wrong reasons. She did the wrong, doesn't mean I have to be less than what I am.
