The Sight

Chapter one: Ashley
No one will understand. What it feels like when I read can not be explained inwords. I guess it can though. Sorta like I'm in a dream or floating on a cloud. I'm part of the book and the book is part of me. I'm one of the charecters or I'm standing in the middle of what's happening. It's like I have a power. When I read out loud like in church or school I try to project that power but it just won't come out, or it will but just a tiny bit. When I read to a small group or to people I feel close to I can let it all out. But eventualy you have to wake up from that dream. The real world. Some people love their lives but mines sorta complicated. I live in a world were people act selfish, mean, and uncaring. They always have. They always will. My name is Ashley. I'm a diffrent person from the rest of them. I am the opposite of them. I am myself. I am a sixteen year old girl. I have long dirty blonde hair that almost goes down to her waist. It's naturally curly but I streighten it. I have contacts. My eyes are an ocean blue that sparkle when the light hits them.You would think I'd be popularand have a boy friend. Your wrong, I'm just the opposite. I have a couple of friends. But I mostly stay in the shadows to mess up and embarass myself. The only time I acctualy getto me is at the zoo. Yes at the zoo. I go there every day. I'm friends with ALL of the workers. I usually just sit and watch tigers and the other animals while I finish my home work.

This fridaydidn't seem normal though.

I sat down at my normal bench. Some one sat near my when I was finished with my home work and was sketching the tigers. I watched him out of the corner of my eye. He was hot.

I kept looking at him out of the corner of my eye. Then I noticed that he wasn't waiting for some one or anything he was staring at ME!!! "Hi Ashley," He said. I stiffend when he said my name. "I gotta go!" I said. I shoved the picture in my pocket and ran. I ran as fast as I could. I went to my car. He was in it. "W-w-what do you want?" I asked scared to death. "I want to show you some thing," he replied, "get in. I'll drive." I did as he said still really scared.

He drove to the forest. "What are we doing here?" I asked scared out of my mind at this point. "We are here to turn you into a vampire." He replied. "WHAT!" "Why me? Why now?" I asked confused. "because the godess told me to and you are the one." he replied. I don't remember anything else. Except it went black. I had passed out.

Great so far! Can't wait to read more

When I opened my eyes it was dark. My eyes slowly adjusted. I was chaineed to the wall and I hurt. My head was throbbing. I looked around the room there was a door on the opposite wall. I heard a lock click and the stranger walked in. "What did you do to me? Where am I? Why did you bring me here?" I asked in one breath and waited for an answer. "You have been turned into a vampire." He stated and then stopped and looked at me hesitently as if I might burst into tears. "This is were young vampires come first. You need to learn and understand. Do you umderstand?" I looked at him and sghied. "Yes I understand." I said. "But," I quickly added, "I want to now your name." I stated and gazed into his eyes. He smiled at me. "Fine," He said, "My name in Drake." He smiled at me. I looked at him for the first time. He had amber eyers, sorta long messed up brown hair, and fit. When I looked at his eyes I caught him looking at me. "What are we going to do now?" I asked feeling wierd.

He looked into my eyes. I was so mesmerised by then I didn't notice that he pick up a knife from a table in the far corner and came twords me. When I did notice I got up to my feet and flatend my self against the wall. "What are you doing?" I asked frightened.

"We have to get you out of those chains for your first lesson." He said. Then he sliced the chains and like butter with a knife cut through both of them. "Why don't you just uncuff me?" I asked confused. "Cus you'll need them." Was all his reply. "Follow me." He said. WE carfully walked out of the room. I was staring into a hall way of a small cabin. When we got out the front door the full moon greeted us. The cry of a wolf calling to it in the distance calmed me. I was supprised to see my truck out side of it. Again he got in the drivers seat. I sat in the back. I stared at him the whole way there he was just so beautiful. He kept glancing back at me as though I might have vanished. "Where here." He said after about an hour later.

I looked at the bueatiful scene. There streched out in front of us was a giant castle. To the left was a crystal blue lake and the right a cute little garden. I liked that the castle was built on a hill it some how made it more mystiorius. "wow" I felt escape my lips.

Keep going, I want to find out what happens next

"Yeah it is pretty isnt it?" he said staring at the castle proudly. "What is it?" I asked sort of puzzled. "Its the vampires secret hide out." He said. Then out of no were two vampires showed up in front of us. It was a girl and a guy. Thy guy had jet black hair that covered one eye wich were green. The girl was one of those cute emo looking girls with black hair that shined and deep ocean blue eyes. "Hi," the girl said, "my names Nickie. whats yours?" She asked as she stuck h out her hand at me. I went to take her hand but she instead grabbed my fore arm. "I'm Ashley." I said starring at the guy. "I'm Josh." He said looking at the Nickie as though she might disapear. I noticed that Josh looked at nickie the same way Drake looked at me.
