I nodded. "I'm fine. Just hurts a little." I looked at Jason. "Do you know of any healers? Vampires have powers, right?"

I frowned at him. "Jee, thanks. I got thrown out of a helicoptor, in case you forgot."

"How could we forget?" I asked, "We're seeing you in pain"

"Maybe you should forget and I won't feel so much like an embarrassment and total failure. I had her..." I rounded on myself again.

"okay" i said to vitani. I walked with her to the infirmary in total silence. She didnt even remember me so i guess i would just have to start from scratch again. As i walked into the infirmary I saw that girl that had screamed at me this morning. After i put rika in one of the beds and told a nurse of her injuries I went to where Paysin was in the middle of a testosterone filled stare down. "Hi" i said softly. "You okay?" okay dumb question but still.

i woke feeling dizzy. i was in the infirmary. i cursed at myself for being so weak. i'd never passed out before in my life. i growled to myself and slipped out of the bed making my way shakily across the room. no one noticed me leave. good it would be too humiliating. i felt the lump on my head and winced. it was gonna need some ice at least, but that could wait. i walked along the corridor using the wall for support.

"You're not a total failure" I said, "She threw you out a helicopter"

I smiled at him sweetly. "Thank you, Elliot." Then the vampire from this morning came over, she was being really nice. Again I felt the regret and guilt and my mouth drew down into an apologetic look. "Just a broken leg. About this morning...I'm sorry...I was being hot headed, I dont know how to explain it. You know what they say about us wolves and our temper."

I took her hand and looked at the Vampire who came over

i moved along the corridor passed the destruction caused by the bomb and out into the open. i shifted into a wolf and ran into the forest. i found the badger set empty again. i'd found it a year back and it was a place to hide and get away from things only a wolf could get to it. i curled up in the set, resting my muzzle on my fore paw and closing my eyes.

I squeezed his hand, I felt my nerves calm down immediately by his touch. It was strange the difference between his touch and Jason's. Jason started a nervous frenzy everytime we came into contact but Elliot calmed ever nerve and bliss settled into me. I shook my head a little, why was I comparing them? What was wrong with me?

I smiled as she sqeezed my hand, I moved closer to her

i whined softly and yawned.

i grunted not bothering to change back but acknowledging she was there.

I looked at Jason with a scowl, way to trump my apology, I though with a jealous twinge. A sub-concious part of my mind asked if it was really the apology that brought on the jealousy and again I pushed this away

I sighed and looked back to Paysin. "You alright?" I asked her.

i growled my response. i wasnt in the mood for coming out. i just wanted my head ache to go. i lowered my head back onto my paws and let out another whine.
