"I'm fine. I was wondering how you are?" She asked stroking one of the other horses' muzzles. "I am at the stables checking on Night. I thought maybe we could have lunch togather? Maybe all four of us?"

Mark sighed. "I just don't want you working to much. Its not good for the babies." He said and touched her tummy gently. "That is why Ai went on early materinty leave right?"

"i think it might be just the two of us....Mia has been looking pale today. i think mark might make her go home early." i said.

we knew that we were having twins but we didnt want to know the sexes until they were born. "Yea.....but im not Ai....im me....i cant sit around all day or have a horse stable to go visit...im needed here....."

"Well she is having a hard time and she is only has one baby in there. You've got two." He said and gave her a gentle hug. "Atleast start working part time instead of full time." He begged.

Ai giggled. "Yeah she has really bad morning sickness since she's got two in there." She said. "But the two of us is fine." She smiled at one of the helping hands around here who were feeding the yearlings.

"where do you want to go for lunch?" i asked her.

after he hugged me i felt sick again. i put my hand over my mouth and ran to the bathroom.

Mark waited by the bathroom with a thing of crackers.

"Its a surprise." She said giving a gentle giggle. She was feeling much better now that she was off her feet for most of the day.

"ok. where are we meeting up then?" i asked.

i hadnt had time to lock the bathroom door....and barely made it to the toilet bowl to throw up.

He still waits outside for her.

"I'll come pick you up." She said and made a kissing noise into the phone. "I've got to go they are bringing a new foal in and my parents asked me if I could give it the frist round of shots."

"okay. love you."

when i was done and cleaned my mouth i went out of the bathroom. i felt tired and probably looked even more pale.

Mark smiled at her and kissed her forehead. He handed her the crackers and a small plastic cup of water. "Here you go my love."

She went and gave the foal its shots before going to her car and driving to the clinic.

i finished treating a horse and then went out to wait for Ai.

i took the cup and crackers gingerly....i took a sip of the water.

Mark stroked her back gently. "You okay now?" He asked and kissed her cheek before the alarm on his watch went off singling lunch.

She pulled up and got into the passenger seat so he could drive. She told him that htey were going to the meixcan reastuarant on 18th and N street.

i drove to the mexican place like she said to.

"no....i feel really tired....." i said softly and leaned into him.

"Come on I will drive you home." He said and lead her to the cars.

Ai told the hostess her name and was lead to a table where two people where waiting for them. It was Adam's mom and dad. She smiled gently up at Adam.

i was confused. "i thought they were still away somewhere" i said to Ai.

i got in on the drivers side of my car.

He sat in the passenger seat not about to argue with her about weather she was healthy enough to drive home.

"It pays to have rich parents. I found them and told them it was urgent they met with me." She smiled. "Come on lets see how this goes."

"okay." i kissed her before we went over to my parents.

"how will you get back if you dont drive your car home?" i asked him before i started my car.

"Ai isn't doing anything she can give me a ride." He said and kissed her gently.

Ai walked over to them with Adam and waited to be introduced.

"mom,dad, this is Ai. she's my fiance and pregnant with our child."

"oh." i said "actualy could you drive? then you can drive the stang back..."

Mark smiled. "Yes I can drive sweetheart." He said and kissed her gently before getting out to get into the driver side.

Ai smiled at them and shook thier hands before she slide into the seat. "So that last name of your's Ai it sounds familar." His father said to her.

"Well my mother is a lawyer and my father is a cardiac surgion and they own a race track." She said with a polite smile.

i got out and got in the passenger seat.

"where were you guys away to this time?" i asked.

He started her car and drove home. Being careful not to disturb her too much.

"We were checking out colleges for your sisters. Since our oldest boys abandon us we need to send them to good colleges to get good husbands." His mother said. Ai cleared her throat.

"Excuse me but it was your son's idea to even tell you that we were getting married and were pregnant." She said and looked the both of them right in the eye. "They seemed to think you wanted grandchildren."

i held Ai's hand under the table. "mom that is no way to speak to me or the woman i love." i said in a harsh tone.

i was falling asleep in the passenger seat.

When they got home he parked the car and picked her up to carry her into the house and lay her down.

His father patted his mother's hand gently. "She's right Honey. We should be happy that Adam has found a beautiful successful woman to be his wife and that we are going to have a granchild soon. How far along are you?"

"About four months sir." She said and rubbed her stomach with her spare hand.

"Mark...please stay with me till you need to go back to the clinic...." i said softly.

"Mark is also engadged....he and his fiance,Mia Bowton, are going to have twins...." i told my parents.

Mark nodded gently and put her in bed and laid with her. "You need anything?"

Ai sighed when that subject came around but she shook it off and smiled gently. "Why aren't they here?" His mother asked.

"She isn't as far along as I am. She is just now getting morning sickness." Ai explained.
