"No. just you" i said softly as i drifed off to sleep.

i nodded in agreement with Ai....id make up with later with what i said about the whole mia having twins thing

He smiled and gently kissed her lips. "Alright. Just try and get some rest baby." He said and held her close.

"And you two are not having twins?" His mother asked. Ai bite her bottom lip and shook her head no.

"No just a single pregnancy for me." She said trying to keep her mood swing down that was starting to come.

my mom needed to shut up right now about us not having twins.

i nodded and fell asleep.

Mark smiled and let her sleep. He stroked her head gently and just held her.

Ai smiled gently and scooted over alittle starting to feel angry but also trying to hide it. "So um Ai are you an vet as well?" His dad said.

"Yes I am a speicalist in equine medicine with an minor in genetics." She explained.

"Well that is interesting...genetics. Adam what is your specialtiy again?"

"equine medicine and physical thearapy for horses."

*sleeping*

When he was sure she would not wake up he got up and went to go make something to eat.

Ai smiled and leaned over and kissed his cheek. "He is excellent with the horses. We actually adopted two and plan to breed them. The foals will turn into excellent racers." She explained.

"Isn't it dangerous for you to work around horses is it not?" His mother asked.

"Shes on maternity leave mom. i work with the horses when i can."

"Who cares for the horses that you have taken in?" She asked Ai smiled.

"Well my parents farm hands. They don't let me lift a finger." Ai explained.

"Well I suppose that is good. You shouldn't be on your feet. After all you only have one child to loose."

"MOTHER!" i said harshly. "Ai lets go. im sorry for my mothers rudeness." i stood up and waited for her to come with me

Ai got up with Adam when they were almost to the car Adam's father had caught up with them. "Son listen I am sorry for your mother. She is still very angry with the two of you. She was just trying to get to you...but there is no reason I shouldn't know about my grandchildren." He said his old eyes seeming to beg for atleast forgiveness for him.

"Dad just tell mom to stay away from me and Mark or he or at least i know i will disown her as my mother." i said. i held ai's hand. "But you on the on the other hand werent rude to us so call mark later. im will to bet that mia is sleeping and hes trying to eat"

Ai kept silent as Adam spoke with his dad. When they were done she slipped into the car without a word. Maybe this all was a bad idea...maybe she should have left it up to Mia.

Mark's cell went off and he quickly answered it in hopes that it wouldn't wake up Mia. "This is Dr. Daniel's...Dad...yeah....yeah...sure how does next week sound...alright...bye." After hanging up with his dad he called his brother. "Hey did you tell dad to call me?"

"Dad called you just now? idiot. i told him to call you later."

*sleeping*

"Its alright Mia is asleep and I was already getting something to eat. I thought they were out of town? What happened?" Mark asked.

She leaned up against the window on the car door and just stared out the window. Her parents had given her a hard time about the single birth as well. They had dropped it ofcourse when she started to cry and were now sorry for it but the issue was so touchy with her.

"Id rather talk about it in person." i told him.

i woke up and ran to the bathroom to puke.

"Alright you want to talk about it after work?' He asked while he went over to check on Mia.

Ai started to cry lost in her own little world in the passenger seat.

i held ai's hand with my free hand while i drove back to the clinic. i kised her hand. "I love you Ai."

when i was done i cleaned my lips with toilet paper and flushed the toilet. i layed down on the cold tile floor.

"Don't lay there sweetheart it is bad for your back." He said and gently bent down to pick her up. "Still bugging you is it? I'll get some soup after work it will be easier on your stomach."

Ai tried to give him a smile. "I love you too." She said and kissed his hand gently. "Got to work I will be fine i promise."

"ok" i said to her. i pulled into the clinic office. i kissed her passionetly before i got out.

i rest my head on his shoulder. it probably would for the next few months....

Mark laid her back down. "I need to go back to work sweetheart." He said and kissed her forehead. "I'll see you after work okay?"

Mark waited for his brother out in the parking lot.

i went out. i saw mark waiting for me.

"Hey bro. Why did you want to talk to me in person about this stuff?" He asked as he ment his brother.

"Because i didnt want to talk about it with Ai in the car." i sighed. "Ai domehow got ahold of then and told them it was urgent that they meet her. Mom was rude and a total B*tch to Ai. Dad wasnt rude though. thats why i told him to called you later instead of during your lunch break"

"So mom and dad finally came out of hiding did they?" Mark crossed his arms over his chest and frowned. "How was she with Ai...I kinda of need to know because she will talk dad into meeting Mia."

"At first she was nice and asked Ai what she did but then she went to total b*tch mode trying make Ai feel horrible for not being pregnant with twins. Mom will probably praise Mia since she's having twins,man." i told him.
