i sat up and started to weave my hair into a single braid.

I smiled at her. "Hi," I said. "Please don't go."

my body jolted a little.....he had scared me.....i finished the braid......"And why shouldnt i? you shouldnt sneak up on people or merpeople."

I sighed. "I'm sorry for that. But I didn't know if you would be like those mermaids in the movies where when they see someone coming towards them they swim off to try to escape." I was blushing a little at the end.

i laughed. "Im not that type. Im just as interested as you. what is like to have legs?" i asked him

I chuckled. "I'm pretty sure it would be similar like have a tail," I said sitting on my board so that she could see my legs like I could see her tail. "You're very beautiful."

i felt my cheeks flush..."Thank you........You are too" i told him...."oh i mean uh your very handsome..." i felt my cheeks redden even more...

I chuckled. "How does it feel to swim all day?" I asked her.

"I like it....but sometimes it gets boring.."

I chuckled. "Boredom is something that no one can escape," I said.

i giggled. "Yea. its a killer....i lost my only friend to one of your human ships propelers....she was bored and she spaced out....and then the ship came.........i was with her...i saw the whole thing...."i said softly...

I frowned. "I'm sorry," I said. "We never try to hurt anyone. But sometimes it can't be helped."

"I know...i was yelling at her to move but she was just too spaced out.."

I sighed. "I really am sorry."

"Its fine......its in the past....her brother has become my friend."

I smiled. "I still am sorry," I told her.

"Its not your fault."

I sighed. "I know," I said. "Ummm... May I touch your tail?" I asked her. "You don't have to say yes but curiosity...."

i jumped into the water real quick and then got back up on the boulder. "You can if you like"

I smiled and put my hand in the water to touch her softly. "Wow," I said. It did feel like a fish. Only.... softer.

a eyebrow rasied. i wondered what he was thinking....

I smiled at her and removed my hand. "It's beautiful," I told her.

i went back into the water and then touched his feet and then moved my hands up his legs.

I smiled at her. That felt good. I mean really good.
