Emily moaned as she felt a warm, strong hand sliding over her bare stomach to her hip. She acted on instinct as she turned into the caress, her body burning from need.
Jarett rolled her over, onto her back, and captured her lips with his. Her head swam at the contact. At the feel of all his strength and power. Never in her life had she felt anything better than his tongue on hers. Or his hard body sinuously sliding against her.

"Emily! You're going to be late!" Jenna called through the door. She was Emily's roommate and she also had a two year old son. Emily worked during the day as an accountant.
"I know, I'll be out in a minute!" She ran to her closet and found a blue box with a ribbon tied around the lid. "Who would have?..." She stopped and saw a piece of paper with her name in an elegant script.
I hope you enjoy these, I'm sorry about your sweater. --Jarett She smiled, he had ripped her sweater the other night and it had completely upset her; it was a gift.
The contents of the box were what made her eyes pop. There was a little black dress with a very revealing slit and a lingerie set along with a blue garter belt. Hmm, he had great taste.
She slid the lace up her legs and felt a wave of heat as she settled the thong in between her thighs. The thought that Jarett's hands had touched the clothing. The idea that he may have trailed his fingers along the cups that cradled her breasts, or toyed with the skimpy lace that covered the most delicate part of her body.
"Work." She reminded herself as she slid the dress on and grabbed her purple jacket. She ran out the door waving to Jenna and Bentley. Bentley waved his pudgy little hand after her and went back to playing with his blocks.

Once she stepped out of the taxi, she wished she didn't have to work third shift. Lately she had been working a lot of late hours, and it cut into her time with Jarett. Sure, he had sold his soul for her and became human again, but he was still afraid to get too close to her. Jarett was afraid that his absense of human life for three hundred years was too much for her to handle. His uncanny ability to read minds was too creepy. But Emily herself, was not a normal human, she had the ability to see things. She tried to deny it ever since that fateful day, but it still haunted her. Why see people's fate when she wouldn't be able to help?
She nodded to the other weary staff that was loading up on coffee, anything to stay awake for two hours. Emily was lucky, she had an easy job.
"Hello, Emily." A male voice said, Cody Fields; the boss. He was always making moves on Emily, event though she was clearly uninterested. She was in love with Jarett, even if he didn't feel the same.
"Cody." She murmured turning on her laptops.
"That's a nice dress."
"Thanks."
He took the hint that she wasn't in the mood and retreated behind a cloud of smoke in his office.
"Two more hours to go." She groaned.

"I'm so sorry," Emily looked up to find Krista looking down at her with sympathetic eyes. "You actually had to miss work yesterday because of the tragedy."
Cody, was and had been in fact, Emily's fiance. He had broken off the engagement when he met her family. They were into the supernatural and his words still rang in her ears. "One day their craziness will rub off on you and I don't want to be around to see that."
"That's not why I missed work." Emily snapped. She had missed work to hang out with Jarett. Since Jarett didn't care about her that way, she had dated others. She still yearned for his touch.
Emily grabbed her purse and walked towards the elevator. Jenna was probably waiting impatiently in the parking lot and she didn't want her to wait any longer. She stayed in the lobby, glancing out the doors; still no Jenna. She ground her teeth as Chis walked out with some of his friends.
"Ah Emily, nice to see you."
"Don't touch me."
"Still upset, are we?" A couple men chuckled.
"Over you? Hell no."
"You miss work because you were so depressed."
"I missed work because I was in the arms of a man that is fit enough to be a God."
"You can stop pretending now."
Just as she was about to protest a black car screeched around the corner. Porsche 911, she knew that car. Jarett parked in front of the bank and got out, Emily smirked when she saw Chris swallow hard.
"My lady." Jarett bent down and pressed her lips to his, their tongues dancing. He picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist as he glanced at the men on the sidewalk. "Nice night."

Jarett walked around the car and had Emily's purse in the car in one fluid motion and soon were speeding down the highway. She started to giggle.
"Thanks for that."
"Well they deserved it. Can't a guy be possessive over his girl?"
She smiled and pulled one leg up on the seat, to her chest.
It took all of his concentration to keep his eyes on the world outside. The way her skirt had rode up her thigh and rested high on her hip, the slit in the skirt revealing a modest amount of skin to make his mouth water. This was yet another moment when he wished he had worn baggier pants, but it was too late to think about that now. He bit his lip slowly, his eyes still on her thighs. Jarett blew it off as they headed up the winding staircase to the second floor. Emily had been staying in a bedroom close to his, but far enough away that she was sure he wasn't as comfortable with her there as he acted.
Her bedroom had black lace sheets, a matching comforter and the bed had sheer white hangings around hit. The ebony iron was twisted intricately to form elegant swirls. Emily kicked off her heels and unzipped her dress, letting it slide to the floor so she was standing in front of the full length mirror in only the lingerie Jarett had bought her. For someone who wanted to not be close to her, he sure picked personal clothes for her. She wasn't expecting any company from him as she pulled on her white thigh high stockings and a nightgown so revealing, she might as well be naked.

Jarett sat in his room on the edge of his bead cursing at himself as he threw his clothes angrily across the room. I should have kissed her, he told himself.
But his head so, No, you did the right thing.
He stared into the darkness, he had no need for lights, but his candles were lit in the scounces on the walls. His room was larger than any of the others, with a bed larger than a king size. He had, had it since the fourteenth century more or less.
Before he realized what he was doing, he found himself outside Emily's door, his hand raised. "This is stupid." he muttered. "This is my house." He turned the doorknob.
"Emily, I..." He swallowed, her back was to him. She was all in white and her skin glowed, giving off a radiant blast of freshness from the rose oil she bathed in.

Emily turned, smiling at him. "Jarett, what's wrong?" Jarett's face was slightly red and he gulped, trying to catch his breath. He was soon standing in front of her. He flew past her and laid down on her bed. She stood beside him, tracing designs on his bare chest. He was a God, built for sex.

"Jarett? Jarett I..." The bedroom doors opened and a young man of about nineteen came in.
"Nick! Get out!"
"Well I need to tell you something..."
"Get out!"
Nick closed the doors and Jarett jumped up and grabbed his jeans from the floor. He pulled them on and half ran after Nick, only to stop and turn back to Emily. "I'll be right back he promised."
"Come here," She breathed. He bounded to her side and sealed her lips with his own. She moaned slightly at his touch, the sound almost making him forget what he had to do. He groaned and pulled away from her.
"Hurry back to me," She whispered.
He nodded and strode out the double doors and to his office where Nick was waiting.
Nick was a tall young man that had long brown hair that hung to his shoulders. "Dude, you got laid."

Jarett lay on the beach, still inside Emily, as the waves ran over their bodies.
He moved to her side so that he could watch the water run over her naked body. Her hair was wet, plastered to her skin. She looked like a sea nymph that had just swum ashore to bask in the warm sunlight and seduce him with her curves and silken skin.

"Have you ever had cotton candy?" Emily asked. She knew Jarett had been around for a very long time, probably even when it was first invented. It was one of her favorite treats and it reminded her of ambrosia.
"No, what is it?" His nose crinkled at the thought of candy that was made out of the same material his shirt was made out of.
"You don't even know what it is?" Disbelief coated her tone.
"No."

As they walked through the throng of people on the board walk, he couldn't help but notice how many people were staring. Men staring at her with lust in their eyes, and eventually fear when he put his arms around her defensively.
"I don't like crowds," He said loud enough so they could hear him. He smirked in satisfaction when they moved rather quickly down the booths.
Emily skipped ahead and stopped at a candy apple booth. "Have you ever had these?" she asked, holding one up by the stick.
"No, how are you supposed to eat it?" He took it from her and inspected it. "I have a feeling this is not natural."
"Its not." She giggled. "Just bite into it like a real apple, but watch out for the caramel."
"Why?" Jarett asked in confusion.
"It will get stuck in your facial hair." Emily explained, sizing her height up a few inches as she put her hand on his chest. "And I find your facial hair rather sexy." She gave him a seductive wink and stepped back just as he leaned down to capture her lips.
"Tease." He muttered as he took a bite. "Ow." He complained. "
Emily couldn't help, but fight trills of laughter as he pretended to storm off and throw the apple in the nearest trash can.
"You have to try cotton candy now." She took his hand and gently led him around the bystanders.
Jarett wasn't used to anyone touching him. He wasn't used to anyone wanting to touch him or even be within yards of him. But Emily did.
"Why do you touch me like this?" He asked.
"Becuase you let me."
