Not So Happy Birthday!!!((Closed, Started))

I pulled up to a small diner. "It might look old but the food is great," I smiled to her and turned off the car.

"Thats fine." I said smiling. I got out and looked at the place. "Vintage is the best."

I smiled brodly. "I suppose, the food was great when I was a kid but that was a long time ago."

"Well there is only one way to find out." I said grabbing his hand and taking him inside.

I looked around, it was all the same. Memories filled my mind, of the good and bad times. I looked at the small concer table. "That was where we sat everytime," I smiled to myself. The good times where we were a family, before this whole fight. Before he died. I frowned at the memory, how much that put my mother through.

I looked at his frown, "Do you want to sit there?" I asked

"No, it is time for a change." I looked around, "Pick any where you want."

I walked over to the corner booth, and sat down.

I looked up at her and slowly made my way over to the booth. I picked up the menu, "have anything you want."

I looked at the menu and I thought a milkshake and a cheeseburger. I put the menu down and sat there

I looked up from her, from behind my menu. I looked at the waiter as she walked over. "I will have a coffee and some fries." I looked over at Mel.

"Can I have a vanilla milkshake and a cheeseburger?" i said and handed her my menu.

I handed her my menu to and watched her until she walked away. I had so many things to talk to Mel about where to even start. "Mel, where shall you go from here?" I was glad Markis wasn't around. "I mean, are you still going to stay with the wolves."

"I dont know, I still dont really know what is going on." All of the things in my head were telling me to trust them both but I wasn't really sure.

"It is simple Mel, you either go with me or with him," I looked up at the waiter as she set down the food. "Thanks," I said quickly to her as she walked away. "I not trying to force this on you, but the sides are already split and I don't think Markis or I are never going to be friends."

"Well I guess if I had to chose right now, I would have to chose you because you have told me more. They just dumped me in a house and expected me to know things."

I gazed at the necklace that rested around Mel's neck. It could feel the power filling up inside me. This is what I needed, to have her on my side, to fill her little mind full of hopes and lies. But some was true, like her mother was a human and her father was a beast like Markis. And Markis was right, the truth rarely slipped out of my mouth. I just smiled at her, trying to pretain the friend like look. Mel was easy, if you told her what she wanted to hear then she would follow. And Markis got pulled into with lies just like his father.

I smiled back and took a bite out of my cheeseburger. I didn't want to be different, I wasn't told I was suppose to be a wolf. Life as I knew it was over. Things were going to change and I couldn't stop it.

How would I get Mel to stay on my side. More lies? No. The truth? Never. Get rid of Markis? I froze mid-thought, and my eyes once again fell upon the necklace around Mel's neck. He loved her and she loved him in a sort of way. To keep Mel, I would have to figure out away to get rid of Markis without Mel thinking it was me.

How could I belive any of them? Markis was sweet and he gave me this necklace. Ryan he gave me hope. I was going to just live it out.

I came back to reality, I tried to fill the awkward slience. I saw that Mel was in mid thought too. "I sorry that I just pushed that on you like that back there." I bit down on the frie and chewed it slowly. "Mel can I ask you a question?"
