Not So Happy Birthday!!!((Closed, Started))

I stopped my thought proccess when he started to talk. "Oh its fine. And yeah, ask away."

Where to begin, I would ask the simple question. "Do you love him?"

I looked at him confused, "Who?"

I twirled the coffee cup, "Markis."

I laughed. "Seriously? I just met him, like, yesterday. Why do you ask?"

"I don't know it seems as if he overly protective of you." I shrugged. "I guess it is not a bad thing, I had the same thing when I was a kid."

"Me too. I wasn't allowed to have a swing set just incase I got hurt. I was in like a bubble of protection." I smiled "But no I don't love him, I don't know him."

I laughed a little, "that was not as bad as having your baby brother bail you out of everything. He was always the favorite."

"I was an only child. That couldn't get into trouble. I was the perfect child." I said with an edge to my voice. "I hated it. I had 3 friends because people were afraid to hang around me."

I gave a smile. "It must not have been that bad, at least your parents were there. But I am sure you get into a lot of trouble now."

I laughed, "Only as much as I can. And why weren't your parents there."

I let the memories fill my mind. "Simple things, dad was a drunk and he spent every waking moment going after the wolves. So my mom took us to live with her parent, my dad would come every weekend and try to take us back. This went on for a month until he just stopped coming, my mom was gone all the time at work. Me and my brother learned to deal with it, we would sneak away at night and go into the barn pretending that our family was normal and that it was all a badnightmare."

I looked at him with sympathy in my eyes. "Aw I'm so sorry. That is so sad."

"It is over now, you ready to go?"

I looked at my empty plate. "Yeah."

I called over the waiter over and paid the bill. I stood up and walked out with Mel. "Anywhere you want to go?"

I thought about it. "Paint ball." I said

I rasied an eyebrow, "out of all the places possible you want to go and cover people in paint? Ok lets go."

I laughed "It is the funnest place here. And you will lose. I'm just saying."

We pulled up to the paintball park, it didn't look like much to me.

"I know, I know. There is nothing here, but it is fun." I said walking in.
