| Ok, this is very unusual for me...but I actually prefer the TV series at the minute. Although I haven't got into the books properly yet. when I picture Elena, Bonnie and Caroline I see them like they are on the TV (possably because I've seen more of the series then I've read of the book)...
My opinion might change when I've actually read more of the books..but until then I vote the series | |

| AHHHHH! It's THE Vampire Diaries, not just Vampire Diaries, there's a 'THE' infront!
The books have more history and depth and you can FEEL what Elena feels, but you don't get inside the characters heads on TV! I mean all you do it just sit there watching them make a fool of themselves trying to get this tomb open and stuff, but with the book, I can actually feel like I AM the characters and all the stuff that's goin' on is happening to me!
I still like the series better because it has a PLOT! The books are just like "Yo, let's kill this thing that's taking over my body and killing all the people in Fell's Church" and then Damon, Elena and Stefan are like "Who are you? Why are you terorizing me?" and stuff! I find it so . . . cliché! | |

The Books just have a lot more to them. In the books I feel like I am inside of it that I am going through that stuff. While with the series its like lets just open the tomb and blah. I would say its an okay series if it is not compared to the books. Because if it is it's like WTF. | |

| Yeah they got rid of Meredith and changed Elena's sister to a younger teen brother Jeremy.
While the books are more in depth of the characters, right now I'm finding the series more exciting. There's always something going on and I like being able to go back and time and see where all the drama started. It's defenitley different but I feel like there's always something going on in each episode. I like how there's new characters that are adding more twists to things. | |
