Unwind

I smiled. "My parents never filed, I ran before they could, so I might not count." I said nodding a bit.

I shrugged. "Well, you were smart to run away" I said.

I sighed, "I wish I brought my brother."

"Oh. Maybe you'll see him again. After you've turned eighteen or so" I said.

I shook my head. "Tithe, the family was Tithe." I added looking in the mirror.

"That changes things" I mumbled.

"Yeah," I sighed and closed my eyes.

the amount of food out the back of the grocery store was scarce so i just grabbed what i could, i was going to need more for sure but how.... just then i seen a lady with a bunch of dry cleaning in her boot and she was heading inside a building i decided i was going to grab the clothes and dress up and go do some shopping... taking the dress was easy, stealing a wallet would be the hard part

"Don't give up hope" I said, but the words wasn't really comforting.

i walked into a bathroom off the street, it didnt seem like anyone was around, i took of my hoodie and singlet and was left in just a bra. i pumped some soap out of the soap dispenser and started to lather my skin i just needed to smell fresh for this to work, if i look like i came out of dirt people would be suspicious i splashed myself with water and then dried myself with my hoodie... i carefully put the dress on over my head, it fit perfectly i heard someone coming so i quickly made my way into a stall when a bunch of teens walked in "Tithe" i thought ... great

We walked around for countless hours, trying to find food with out getting cought.
"October, wouldn't this be easier if we found a friend or something-somebody to help us out." I said frustrated and tired.

"No. We can't trust anyone, August." I said softly.

"I can't take this anymore though" I stated

" I know, and neither can I" I said conforting her
We both walked into a random Walgreens and went into the food section, not paing attention to the cameras.

the girls put there bags down and lit up some cigarettes, i was surprised they were still out here alive and walking... but obviously their parents had no idea. i grabbed out my pocket mirror and held it so i could see what they were doing, they were all huddled in a group watching something and laughing... i reached my hand under the toilet door and grabbed one of the bags as quietly as i could. it was easier than i thought i quickly opened it and found the purse and some make up, took it out then put the bag back and sat with my legs up until the girls left
