Was it right to keep the red Fledglings a secret?

We all know Zoey kept the fact Stevie Rae was/is alive from her friends or as Aprodite calls them,"The Nerd Herd."
But was it right? SHould she have told them but also asked that they shield there thoughts? Plus because of the and the whole Loren Blake Scandal she lost all of her friends and was left ot fend for herself.

after i watched my best friend
die and held her as she rejected
tha change and then
to find her drinking blood
i would be scared and i would feel
like zoey did, like i should help
her before showed her to anyone.

Well the way Stevie Rae look was horrible and I wouldn't want my best friend looking like crap if I were to reunite her with the rest of the gang. And it was wrong in the first place about the Loren scandal and I would most definitely keep that from my friend or anyone for that matter.

hell yeah she should of told them and made them shield there thoughts. I mean yeah i understand and would probably do the same as zoey but it weren't the best thing to d but they should not have been so annoyed at her plus she should of told them about the mind reading thingy when they found out about Stevie Rae

While it was not the best idea to keep the red fledglings a secret you also have to think that most to most people that was unheard of and many would have simply killed them rather than see if they could control the blood lust they had. I think it was right in the beginning she may have waited to long

I partly agree to that. i think she did wait too long, but u don't know they wouldn't of been accepted if she nvr even tried, I mean am i right?

that is so true. Unfortunately in life we all want to be accepted. I think that Zoey just wanted everything to be okay and make people understand first.

I think it was the right choice at the time. Of course it wasn't very fair to keep it secret from the others because they cared about Stevie Rae just as much as she did, but still, I would hvae done the same. Because if neferet broke through the shields of their minds? Then that would have been for nothing and she would have found ut about it more quicker.

I think it was right for her to do so because they are something different, and if Neferet knew that everyone knew about the red fledglings, then she would kill them, and killing the red fledglings will hurt Stevie Rae as she would be the only one left unless Neferet killed her too

Maybe it was a good idea for Zo to keep Stevie Rae a secret Cause the twins and Damien and Jack might not have tacken her seriously.

And even if she told them to keep their minds sheided, they might not have known how to at that moment of time.

This was a unique and dire situation and Zoey was only seventeen. Imagine it, the fate of her best friend was in her hands. Zoey could easily have gotten her killed or worse, which is why I could never fogive her for being more absorbed in her foolish love life. Because of Neferet there was almost no one she could trust to keep this secret from Neferet. If there was a chance her friends' thoughts or actions could betray Stevie Rae to Neferet, she couldn't take that chance. Not to mention, Aphrodite's vision would have shaken her up even more.

Given the circumstances and what was at stake, I would have done everything I could to protact Stevie Rae until I "cured" her. Had I had a love life of any kind, I would have put even that on hold. I would have acted faster than Zoey, been more focused, more dedicated. After the one month, I would have gone with a full moon ritual and if that did not work I would have kept at it, even if Stevie Rae had given up. Whatever it took.

WazzuMan has such a good point (as usually) that I totally, 100 percentedly, agree with him. That's pretty much what I would've done too.

Again, it wasn't a simple matter of trust, it was the fact that Neferet could read minds. She couldn't read Zoey's or Aphrodite's, and Zoey wasn't going to take the chance that Neferet would find Stevie Rae and kill her, even if that meant the only person she could confide in was Aphrodite, who isn't always pleasant company.

she should have told them, it would have made it much easier on her if she did.
