'oh,' i said. i knew from the look that his dad must have been bad news.
'well i never knew my parents i was dumped on the doorstep of a people of faith orphanage.' a shudder ran through me as terrible memories of that place flashed through my mind. i was glad i'd got out at seven.

'maybe it's better not knowing... i mean if they were willing to give me up then they probably werent very good parents in the first place.' i scowled at the floor. 'the only home i've ever know is the streets and my gang. this is the first place i've been to where i get to feel safe and i can almost relax.' it was true i didnt have to be on guard all the time here although i didnt let my defences down entirely, this was the most relaxed i've ever been.

i smiled as he placed a hand on my shoulder.
'but i'm she loves you deep down.' i told him. 'the only person i have is Jared and we're not even blood related, but that wont stop us being brother and sister. like you and viktoria, we protect each other.' i blinked away the beginnings of tears. i never cry and i wasnt about to start either.

i hugged him back, unsure what to do next. i wasnt used to telling my secrets, i usually kept hidden behind a wall but now it was gone.
'yeah sure talking might help.' i'd never in my life thought i'd say those words but it was a comfort to say them. i managed a sigh, i still didnt know if i could let myself cry.

'heh thanks,' i said smiling at him. i wondered if i should tell him where i kept my stash of high suger chocolate. i kept it because i was a cuboard suger junkie, though i knew we were supposed to stay healthy here.

'urm sure i dont mind.' i said following him. i knew he could read my minds but i knew that i could read a person just from their belongings, it was something i picked up. it was also a lot of fun. i made a big point of thinking that he had nothing to worry about if i entered his room. sometimes guys are funny about things like that. i smiled to myself.

i couldnt help but giggle. 'that would be embarrassing for him if he wasnt.' i said with a grin. i'd learnt to live without the luxury of modesty, Jared didnt know the meaning of privacy, not that it bothered me in anyway. i watched him peek into his room and realised this was the closest i'd been to any other boy apart from my brother. it was nice.

i laughed. i knew if i had lots of belongings they too would be scattered on the floor. i was forever having to shift clothes off my bed. he moved some floorboards and got out some goodies he had in there.
'haha that's nearly exactly the same place i hid my high suger stuff in my room.' i said with a grin. 'let me go get it.'
i dashed back to my room grabbed some stuff and was back before well i got back really quickly.
'i hate the fact we're not really sposed to eat sugery stuff here, it's the one thing i crave.' i said laughing and offering him some of my stuff.

'oo thanks,' i said giving him one of the bags of sweets. 'yeah a film or something would be really cool, what do you like to watch?' i felt completely at ease with him, something i didnt usually feel round many people.

'good choices,' i said as i ran my finger along the spines of the films. i browsed for a bit before picking one i knew was loud but still cool.
'i wouldnt call it horror but it's still a great movie,' i said brandishing underworld. 'haha and appropriate.' i added with a grin.

'i like movies too. though i dont collect them, i dont need to now though as you seem to have nearly every single one i like.' i grinned and walked through the door he held open for me.
'thanks.' i waited for him to join me, my arms full of chocolate and the film.

i laughed again, i was both a music and movie addict. as he piled stuff onto the table i shanghaid the comfy sofa and he brought the table closer to it.
'This is my favourite sofa,' i told him patting the empty space next me. 'i'll put the film on.' i bounced up and slotted it into the machine, then grabbed the remote and fell back onto the sofa.
'so if you're a movie addict and your sister is a music one, she must have a wall of cds, right?' i said bringing my knees and feet up onto the sofa.
