Natalia walked the halls humming quietly to herself.

"It's The Past Now, I Can't Do Anything About It" I Said
"But Thank You For Caring" I Said Smiling At Her

I entered the commonroom and sat, cross-legged infront of the fire.
I rolled up my slever and tucked a couple of loosebits of hair behind my ears. I outstretched my hand into the fire, just holding it there, letting the flames lick against my skin.

The flames licked at my snow-white skin but didn't burn, my pyrokinesis allowed me to create a small barrier of air between myself and the flames. I didn't burn but I felt the heat.

Claire wasn't in the mood to deal with any of the annoying nerd herd members. All she wanted to do was just find a place to relax and watch some T.V. without too much fuss about watching something with a little blood, guts and gore in it.

She walked into the commons area to see someone sitting in there already watching something on the television. She sits down on the far end of the sofa to watch whatever's on the T.V.

Jordan was lurking around the halls playing in the shadows as always. He found great comfort being in the shadows, and not just because he could conjure anything he wanted out of them to scare people with.

Something flickered outside of the door. I took my arm out of the fire, keeping a small flame hidden in my haand and exited the commonroom.
The shadow's were dancing around and I smiled. I must be someone with a gift, I lifted my hand, the flame following.
I sent the small fire off into the darkness, ignighting it so I could see who it was.
I smiled, "Hi" I said as I withdrew the flame, returning the boy to his darkness.
I stepped towards him, extinguishing the flame.

Jordan was having fun but for some reason he didn't notice a ball of light come toward him and almost burn him. "Hey! Did you just throw the fire this way?"

I smiled, "Guilty. Sorry, i just wanted to know who was out here, shadows don't move of their own accord" I grinned.
"Oh, I'm Natalia" I added, "4th former, though I don't attend any of their lessons."

"I'm Jordan. I'm also a 4th former, but I do attend the 4th former classes."

I smiled, "so, shadows. That's really interesting, do you have any other specific abilities?" I asked.

"Not that I know of...I've always been able to manipulate the shadows for as long as I can remember..." Jordan stepped out of the shadows and made the shadow where he was hiding turn into a wolf standing before them.

My eye's darted to the 'wolf' that stood between us.
"That's a beautiful gift" I said, moving my gaze back to him.
"Well you've already seen my Pyrokinesis" I said, " I can't create the fire, only manipulate it" A sad dissapointment sank into my voice at that, it never felt like a proper gift that one, "Uhm, I'm also telikinetik, and telepathic.
Don't worry, I'm not scanning your head or anything" I grinned, my eyes moving back to the wolf.

"So talented for someone so young. Nyx really blessed you, didn't she? I'm sure you're parents are very proud of you and all your accomplishments so far here."

The smile dropped from my face.
"not, really" I said, "they never accepted me, even when I was human." I didn't know how to word what I wanted to say. I didn't even know why I wanted to reveal this to this stranger.
I lifted my top, just enough to show scaring that embellished my body, the disfigured skin stretched in a spirling pattern from my right side all the way across so the left, then allong my back and dissapearing down my right thigh.
"When I came here, they just got angrier, but atleast they couldn't touch me.
They died three months after I arrived, that night was when Nyx gave me my gifts." I straightened out my top and smiled.

"Wow...I'm sorry about mentioning your parents. I had to leave my baby brother when I came here. He was just born when I got marked last year. My parents come and visit every once in a while so I can see him, but that's about it. I use the shadows so I can go visit him every once in a while."

"It's fine" I smiled, glad he hadn't made an issue about my scars.
I heard music drifting down the halls, and I recognised it instantly, one of my favourites, a light reggei track, My Game by Lucky Dube. I smiled and closed my eyes. not intent on finding where the music was coming from, but enjoying the rythem it brought with it.

"You wanna dance?"

I smiled, "I'm not much of a dancer but okay" I decided I would trust this boy. My trust usually had to be earned, but I decided I liked him, he was sweet and he wasn't afraid of my past. I grinned.
