Had always been known as a kingdom of mystical power, Eden is suspended in space. Surrounded by an unseen barrier of all the time, no one but the people of Eden, Edel Shuugeki, could enter and leave this place without their lives being taken. This barrier contained what the people claimed to be the energy of their Goddess, the Goddess of Eden.
Goddess of Eden, the title that all desires to hold, and the title that all are fighting for would follow, was nothing more than a fabrication of the four royal families to save their own families. Lead by the naïve believes that being the Goddess was giving them a chance to lead a safe, carefree life; they battled their way to the top of the chart in the Arena (physical battles) and Honours Board (intellectual battles through writings, presentations and debates).
However, when they came to realize their fate, and decide to turn back and lose the last fight and last write, it was too late. The only way left for them was to heir the loom, and replace the existing Goddess of the throne. Coerced to the throne, she would then be sealed by the heirs of four different royal families. The quadruple seal was introduced to prevent power abuse, such that the Goddess would be seized by any family and used for their own satisfactory.
Once marked and recognised as the Goddess of Eden, her powers would belong to the whole nation. From then on, her duty was nothing more than to give birth to the next generation. For the rest of her life, she would be bounded to the throne in a seemingly subconscious mode. Until the day her remaining powers are enough to sustain nothing else but her life, the throne will be her only reside. Such was the life the solitary Goddess of Eden led.
Goddess of Eden, what a beautiful title, but what a cruel and lonesome life they lead…
Giving birth to the generation sounds pretty impossible if the Goddess of Eden does not have a partner. However, Eden’s mystical power has blessed them with the unique ability of reproducing and continuing their kind, and that is Jiemu Kigen(Gem Genesis). Each Edel Shuugeki has a gem instilled on their body, usually in faint shades of Red, Emerald, Sapphire, Gold and orange. This gem is known as Eramentar Gerad, and hence the wielder is known an Edel Shuugeki. Each of the many Eramentar Gerads holds a unique ability within itself which allows Edel Shuugekis to wield a weapon or control a specific element.
Every Edel Shuugeki is born holding a natural pride for being part of the small yet preeminent society, for they are known for their unbeatable unity and extraordinary magical competency. If you ever get a chance to enter Eden, you’ll see for yourself, the pride through even their infrastructures and arts.
However, unknown to any a new species is being bred in Eden by the seemingly asleep Goddess on the throne. Since the first Goddess acceded the throne, the seeds of these new breed has been planted at the heart of Eden, where the magnificent, well-loved Eden Patio is located. They germinated quietly and brought much beauty to the joyful land and merry inhabitants. Nurtured by the energy channelled to them, from their beloved Goddess, through the soil, they grew from little seeds. They were carefully taken care of by Edel Raids, the nation whom they were bred to destroy, the people whom they were grown to annihilate. In a land like Eden, where nothing went unseen and unknown to the eyes of every living, how were they able to hide such a perilously delicate race?
Having battled her way through the many obstacles to top the Honours Board, the Goddess owns a brain that is the smartest in the whole nation, it was no doubt that they were able to come up with ways to hide this new race they were breeding.
So, when the first Goddess ruled, she meticulously drew that having them grow up as flowers would keep them safe from being eradicated before they could establish their foundations. She then requested to have the many seeds scattered on Eden Patio such that Eden would not only be a mystical place, but also a beautiful, aromatic land, the perfect utopia for every living being.
It was with that innocent exterior they hold that they were able to deceive the whole country that are just mere pure and innocent flowers, which allowed them to be loved and cared for so prudently by all. When the first Goddess came up with this race, she was not able to give it any name, and as such, she just named it after its looks. That gave birth to the new species of Eramentar Gerads, and thus they were known as Hana Shuugeki (Flower Raids).
After the 218th Goddess had heir the loom, the first batch of Hana Shuugeki finally stepped out from under their beauty coverings on a winter night, the coldest recorded in a hundred years. It seemed as if Hana Shuugekis’ survivals were bleak, but having planned for them to step out on a winter night, the first Goddess had already prepared them for even harsher climate and thus temperature was of no issue to them.
… But where do the fully developed Hana Shuugekis reside? Have they a home? How are they going to be accepted by Edel Raids?
