Hi Everyone....I'm Gypsychild I've been writing poetry for about 15 years now...I wanted to share my poetry with you all... Here is my first poem I wanted to share...hope you enjoy it. GC

Breathless Night

I heard a voice calling my name...it lingered on the midnight winds...I could feel a prescence consume my soul once again.

Sounds of owls echoed...each time they spoke...I felt my footsteps quicken....suddenly I heard something moving behind me...was it the truth to my destiny trying to find me?

Out of breath and lost in the woods as dark as the azure colors that filled the night's sky...I realized that there was no escaping my fate....I brought the zen within me into focus and would soon know my true purpose in this life.

'Aura Of The Heart'

The trees seemed to dance in the bright moonlight.

As my heart took flight...I grabbed the essence of your loving aura with all my might.

The essence of that aura tattooed itself around my heart...I knew from the start..our souls would never part.

Dreams of Slumber

Sleepless night come with me in flight..take me beyond the stars that shine so bright.

Carry me to slumberland..make my body understand..sleep will soon take my hand..and guide me to sleepyland.

Dreams will come and dreams will go..my mind all a flutter with you...who makes me whole.

Warmth of your touch...love of your heart..you are the one who started the love fire that ingnites my passion for life.

With the turn of the tide..my eyes awake once more..I must find a new course to slumberland once again.

Oh..will this ever end...can't sleep just jump in me again?..I'll go try again.

May sleep and love wrap it's arms around me...as luck would have it...sleep has finally found ME!

Imprints Of Friendship


I drifted into a world that was shiny and new..lingering to see what kind of musical world this place would be...two bright lights..came to guide me.

Sharing in their wisdom..our love of music.. we found strength in a new friendship...with a sense of contentment in our chatter.

I moved around this wonderland of hope..music and watch true friendships being born...knowing it wouldn't be long..before my new friends would be a forever bond.

In my short journey through this beautiful land of music tapestry..I found many more bright lights..who make this place a feel so right..I will carry them all deep inside.

Friends are essences of one's soul...and it's forsure worth it's weight in GOLD!

Trippin' In The Twilight

Twilight come to me..let me hear you sing your sweet night melodies.

I'll always feel at ease...trippin' with the peace you left inside of me...you make me feel free..to see all the beauty around me.

Twilight..Twilight where have you gone...it's hard to see you now..as your starting to fade.

May you come again..on another starry night..filling skies again with delight of your sweet surprise...glimmering fireworks of deep purple and blue.

The peace you left with me... will always be gem I'll always treasure 'til I leave this place.

Strength Of The Soul

Glows of yellow settled through the trees so bare of green.

I could still hear you laugh today...wishing your soul was here to stay.

You always made me feel safe...and never afraid to embrace nature's grace.

You gave me the world...and the tools to walk through the meadow of hope.

I'll put your love in my pocket and remember you said..'nothing is impossible'.

The Remains Of Love

Sweet smells of honeysuckle filled the night dewed air.

I suddenly felt you there...your swaggered without a care...towards my love torned heart.

You said you felt me from a million miles away...love is all you would say...that brought you my way.

I hope you'll stay with me...without any fear.

May the bad dreams fade away...so that love will remain like a stain.

I'm glad you came to me that night.

I'll always love you without a fight...your love tastes like sweet delight.

Despite the loss of light in the sky...I could see your loving soul embrace me with passion deep inside.

Let us take flight in the trees without any gloom or the darkest moon.

The fear has left for good...all I want is you to keep me safe from warm.

I know you'll never do me any harm.

Because we are kindred spirits 'til the very end.
