Kalona???

I'm not sure if I am the only one but in Tempted inparticular, did anyone get a sense of wanting more and more of Kalona? I found myself scanning over paragraphs until his name came up the second time I read the book. I think it might be something to do with the curiosity of whether he is good or evil or just the fact that he's so damn hot

Honestly... no. My opinion, he's a pathetic excuse for an immortal or warrior, let alone an angel. If I knew no better I'd say he were human. I certainly don't respect him, seeing he hasn't even fessed up to whatever wrongs he made against Nyx.

What does tickle my curiousity is why other readers say he's "hot" when it was my impression that his true face was hidious and old? We are obviously not talking about personality since he is a word-I-cannot-use-on-PG-forum.

they are both so mysterious.

I haven't quite finished Tempted yet, but I do find the story between Rephaim and Stevie Rae quite intresting. I can emapthize with her even thought I feel no sympathy for the raven mockers.

Update: Just finished Tempted. I do not believe that Rephaim can be any good an so far he has caused SR to lie to Z.

I absolutly love Kalona he is my favorite character in hon an no i dont like everythin he does but i feel like there is a lot more to him and that if giving the chance he could be a good guy and be a good angel on earth and i kinda want him to be with zoey.

I dont like Kalona. The stories in which he has done to the women. And his sons are well gross.

but i still dont understand what ppl see in kalona. i see a winged-god and who isnt good. i dont understand how ppl can say that hes a semi-good character. i think that he is purely evil and cant be saved, meanwhile others say that he can be saved.

if i was a character in this series, i wouldnt have fallen to kalona. there are just too many things that are weird and dont make sense.

^ I'm right there with you. I still think saying Kalona is totally evil is a stretch, he's trouble but he's also pretty pathetic. I don't see the attraction to him, for starters his true face is supposedly hidious so it's not the looks, and he can easily be identified as manipulative, especially when he is being "nice". It is a puzzle that has no clear logic to it. We know for a fact that he is a rapist, murderer, stalker, sadist, manipulator, arrogant, possessive, and he has no problem invading people's privacy (the dream stalking thing). He's not a criminal mastermind (worked with Neferet), but he's done a hundred times the damage of Neferet. Raping in particular is something I would consider unredeemable.

I can't explain it but something bout him has me interested,i know he did cruel and unforgivable things to women and other people, but we know he has a heart ,that was why he was banished from the other world because he fell for Nyx and was jeolous of her consort, i don't know i just think there is something more to him, and i really do think in the end he is going to help zoey and the gang and defeat Neferet,

^ That's just it. He's emotionally unstable, and add to that his immortal powers and we got a timebomb. He is prone to rash decisions and given his superiority complex he doesn't care about "lesser" beings he hurts. Even Neferet was naive to think she could keep him in check forever. If he were human, many would say he needs therapist.

^okey maybe he does need therepy, lol but i still think he could do good thingsa if somebody(zoey) believed in him and gave hima boost to do good things, and hopefully he will help with neferet, you have to agree neferet is worse than Kalona is.
