I felt like a d!ck just then, "Oh... Right... Hey, I'm real sorry." I said opening the taxi's door for her.

I laughed "Its fine." I said. I stopped following him after I saw him kiss another girl the day after he kissed me. It was like a blow to the chest and that hurt worse then really being dumped. I got in the cab and looked at the driver. "The Arlington Resort." I said

I slammed the door shut and the driver looked at me. "Well what are you waiting for? You heard her." The taxi driver turned around and started the car. "Dumb@ss." I muttered under my breath.

"Jake!" I said "That is not nice." I told him. I turned to the driver. "he is sorry sir."

I laughed and shook my head, "The same ol' May." I patted her leg through a smile.

I gasped and the feel of his hand on my knee and looked over at her. "Um..." I said moving my knee so his hand fell away.

"What?" I asked.

"i just got out of a broken engagement," I said Knowing I was over him, but my body was yelling to jump his bones. "I just can't." I said

"Can't what?" I asked staring at her my eyebrows raised.

I looked out the window "Nothing nevermind." I said and saw the driver start to pull up at the hotel. "Oh look we're here." I said in a rush.

I grabbed her wrist before she left the car, "Wait, I want to see you again, this time on purpose." I smiled.

I sighed. "I don't think that is a good idea." I said pulling my wrist out of his grasp and closed the door walking to the back to det my stuff out of the trunk.

I got out and ran to her side, "No, I want to see you again. I won't take no for an answer, May."

I sighed. "Jake, listen. It was really cool seeing you again, clearly you have been doing really well for yourself and I wish you well. But I am here to relax so I'm sorry but no."

I felt like my heart had just been ripped in two, "May... Please.... I want to see you just...." I couldn't think of anything to say so I stood there like an idiot.

I smiled "It was nice seeing you again, thank you for the ride." I said grabbing my bags and heading for the entrance.

"So I'll see you tonight then?" I yelled after her. "Theres a resteraunt called the goddess's food, I'll be there at 7, I'll be waiting!" I yelled. I smiled not giving up.

I smiled and acted like I didn't hear him. I walked inside and went up to the counter telling her my reservation and getting my room key. My room was beautiful, huge bed, floor to ceiling window overlooking the city. This was amazing. I started to think about Jake and i didn't know what to do. SO I texted Carla. I need help...like now.
