I smiled back.

I chuckled and said, "I know my parents would love you."

"How come?"

"Because you are smart and kind and they like that in a girl for me," I said. "I think they were pretending to like Amber just because I liked her."

"When do you want me to meet them?"

"Not sure," I said. "I don't really care."

"Then lets go now.."

I blinked. "I.. uhh.. can't," I said. Why didn't I tell them about Amber sooner?

"Why not?"

I cleared my throat. "I still... they don't know that we're dating."

"Meaning they dont know amber dumped you?"

"Pretty much, yeah." I nodded my head while saying this. "Only because I haven't told them the other day because I didn't want to talk about it with them and yesterday because I didn't have time."

"I see...." I said...

"And I just made a huge excuse that doesn't really make up for the fact that I haven't told them yet."

"What excuse?"

"The little speech I had before," I said pointing behind me as though my words were written on the wall, forever engraved there.

"I still want to meet them."

"Could you give me a day to tell them?" I asked.

i nodded...

I sighed. "Sorry," I said. "I should have told them before hand."

I looked at him. "Why didn't you tell them when she did dump you?" I asked. I wasnt mad. Just wanted more of a reason

"Because I knew they would treat me like a child and try to make me talk about when I felt like there was nothing to talk about," I said as I began to pace the room slowly.

"It would have showed they cared about you." I said softly.

I stopped and looked at her. "Last time someone in that house had a break-up we watched movies like 'Legally Blonde', 'The Blind Side', and other chic flicks all accompanied by tears and ice cream straight out of the tub. All of which I had to sit though. I shiver at the mere thought of what they would have done for me in my grumpy state. Manicures and Pedicures written all over the walls." I shivered.
