Ironic (1x1)

I looked at the clock. Seriously 4:30, you have to take forever. I thought to myself, getting a little angry that time was going so slow. I needed to it go faster. 3:30 came around and I was getting angry. Screw this. I stood up and headed out ready to get home and get ready.

I got in my car and turned it on, the engine roared and i sped off back to the house. I couldn't stand being away from her.

I got in the car and headed home. This had to be wrong. Why did I want to rush home to another womens husband. But something inside me wanted to stay with him as long as I could.

I headed home first. Pushing the garage opener, the door rised up as i drove into it. I quickly got out and rushed into the house. Being here just wasn't the same anymore. I grabbed some different clothes.

I got home and smiled, I started gettting ready this was going to be such a good night.



::The Wife::I raced up behind him and hugged him around the waist. "I'm home early." I said. Seeing him getting some clothes. "Where are you going?" I asked. "I thought maybe we should go to dinner tonight."

A almost jumped out of my own skin when i turned around to look at her. "Why are you back so early?" i fumbled to say as i stared at her, i couldn't exactly hide the shock in my face right away.

I looked up at him a little sheepish. "Well I thought you were going to be happy that I was back? I wasn't really needed they had hired someone to help me and they already had all of it covered so I decided that I was un-needed and came home... Aren't you happy?"



I sat there when I got home I was all happy that we were going out that I was already ready. I looked at my watch. 4:15 almost time for him to be here I was so excited.

I stared at her for a long time trying to think about what i was going to tell her. I couldn't find myself to look her in the eyes. "Of course i'm happy your back sweetheart, its just, i, uh, promised Jason i'd hang out with him the rest of this week, he's going through some heavy stuff, i was taking him out tonight." i said with a stone line across my mouth.

"Well call him and cancel and hang out with him tomorrow." I smiled and wrapped my arms around his waist suggestively.



I sat there and waited, I really hopw I was not going to be stood up. I looked at my watch 4:20. He still had time.

I stared down at her. "I'm not going to do that after all he's been through." i said as i stared at her. I started to wriggle out of her arms and grabbed my bag of clothes. "I'm sorry sweetheart." i said turning away from her.

I took a step back, hurt. "Oh well... um... okay have fun." i said and turned heading out into the kitchen. I started to make myself some dinner since he wasn't going to join me. Seems like its just me... like usual.



I looked at my watch 4:25. This time I was starting to get a little nervous. He didn't live that far away, so i didn't know what was taking so long.

I rubbed the back of my neck, i did feel bad, but i wasn't just going to blow Kate off (was that her name i forgoyt >_< lol) At least not tonight. I had waited all day to be with her. I wasn't just going to forget about it. Regardless that my wife was back home.

I gave up on finding something to eat. I found out that I wasn't exactly hungry anymore. I walked out onto the balcony and looked out over the city. I sat in one of the chairs, nursing my coffee. I could understand him wanting to go out with his friends, but I wanted to spend sometime with him and he wanted to leave... it hurt.



It was 4:32 and I know I shouldn't be worried but I was. I have never been stood up before and I was getting a little anxious. I was going to call his phone but if he wasn't going to come over then I wasn't going to bother... I'll give him a few more minutes.

I sped off towards Kays house, i rubbed at my head as i weaved through the cars. I hoped she didn't think i blew her off. I looked at the clock. I was late. And now my wife was back home, i didn't know what i was going to do. i pulled up in Kay's driveway and quickly got out heading for the door.

I heard a car door slam and I looked out the window... It was him. I smiled and ran to the door and threw it open. "I'm glad you made it." I said with a smile.

I looked at her with a small smile hoping she couldn't tell that i was still in shock of my wife being back so early. "Of course i did." i said widening my smile. "You ready?"

I have been ready for like an hour. I thought. "Yup just got done." I smiled and grabbed my purse.

I smiled at her. "Well lets get going then."

I smield and walked to his car. This night couldn't get any better. I thought to myself. "You sure take a long time to get ready."

I didn't know if i should tell her so i kept my mouth shut for the time being. "I got held up at the office longer than i had originally planned." I said opening the door for her.

I smiled at him. 'Okay." I said and reached for his hand. I liked how his hand was so much bigger than mine it like engulfed my hand.

I brought her hand up to my lips and gently kissed it before running around to the otherside and getting in.

I smield and climbed in the car. "I have been waiting for this all day." I said "It been a long time since I have been dancing."

I smiled at her. "Well tonight will be great then." i said as i started the car, smiling at her,

I laughed "Do you go dancing alot?"
