Virus.

if this is what your book is going to contain in it then you have one buyer at least in the land down under , the first part you put just gripped you and pulled you in, hope it turns out the way you want it to.

the first paragraph is pretty dark because thats set in the 'apocolypse' era of the story, so i was just setting the scene about how dark and gloomy life was, as the story progresses into the future, a more lighter tone will take its place until much later because then i need to introduce the main character, who by the way is a boy.. just wanted to clear that up ;]

soon i'll put up a special fight sequence up for you guys, ^^;

i'm also taking ideas for the main characters name.

The rustling of leaves startled me; I spun around, the small wooden dagger in my palm held out straight, ready to strike. My heart began to pump blood faster in my body as my adrenaline rose. I heard a high pitched, some-what musical laughter emerge from the depths of the forest. My breathing came faster and sharper, my hands beginning to shake with fear and excitement; this was my time to do what I thought I was born to do. This was it.
“Max.” I heard my name being called in the same soft, melodic voice. I turned around and there she stood, her pale blonde hair flowing gently behind her, her body clad in a midnight black cat suit, and her eyes… Her eyes the colour of blood; proof she was a vampire. My eyes narrowed in hatred at this being, she was nothing but a psychopathic bxtch with sick fantasies.
Her voice flowed through my body again, making my insides turn with disgust. “Aren’t you going to greet me? After all, you’ve been spending enough time trying to find me, Max.”
I clenched my jaw, her patronising wasn’t going to work, I wasn’t a little boy anymore, and I had trained hard for this moment, to kill the monster trying to recreate the end of humanity. I bared my teeth at her, showing her my slightly longer and sharper canines. I watched her expression go from mocking to frightened, my body jerked with excitement. She was scared of me. I couldn’t help but let a laugh of my own escape my throat.
“You’re a v-vampire?” She stuttered not having known who I really was. A smirk curved up on my lips as everything finally began to sink into her thick, pathetic skull.
“One of the originals.” I finally spoke, my voice soft and mocking, mimicking the way she’d once spoken.



I decided to name him after my cat Max.

max huh? very original, although judging from that last sentence there shouldn't he have a more victorian era name?

Nah. He's only 17, but he has the orginial virus within his system, basically when the virus was going on, one of his ancestors had a child with a vampire, and so forth, the virus has mostly stayed dormnant within their generations, but it's active within him. He's just a normal teenage boy and if you haven't guessed, this woman has tried to recreate the virus, mixing it with modern medicine to make a better superior race.
So he says he's an original because he has the orignial powerful virus in his blood.

ah, now that makes sense
